at least my post, unlike yours, has something to do with the topic discussed perhaps you should make a "Who do I think is a dumbass" troll topic and post there. |

We different font. VERY different. Falls well within the law (at least Australian law). Someone would have to be looking for a reason to hate Aion to think this is an issue. |

Are you for real? This isn't just the name, look at the wings and compare them to the Elyos / Asmodian, look at the design of the gate and compare it to the logo, look at the colour of the logo, look at the name of the songs....This is all copied. It falls under prior art and you bet you can sue for that.
then email the band and tell them to get the ball rolling. otherwise stfu and get a life. |

If they were lawyers even wannabes then maybe they would at least have studied a bit and understand what they are talking about instead of being a group of argumentative 3 year olds.
As has been stated you can not copyright names, titles and short phrases. To get a copyright you need to have a complete work such as a song, story or what ever.
To those people sidetracked on the McDonalds arguments you are confusing trademark law with copyrights. For example Peugoet has trademarked all cars that have three digits with a 0 in the middle such as the 207 or 301. This is not the same as a copyright and if you wanted to sell a plane called the 207 you could but you couldn't market a car with 207 as that would infringe on the trademark and be considered an attempt to trade on the name and reputation of the other company.
Aion is just a name and as such is not copyrightable. Art work can be copyrighted to protect it from duplication but the law allows for a pretty wide range of use before something is considered a copyright violation or otherwise only Coke would be able to use artwork of Santa Claus at Christmas time.

Uhm no, if you used McDonald's logo with the golden arches and named your product after their hamburger, you'd get your butt sued.
