I did not get to test this game but am considering playin.....

How are things right now?

Good Times?

Log-in issues?

I have to pay 50 bucks to test at this point so any other opinions are welcome...

Thanks

1) For me outside of performance hiccups things are great and much better than what I went in thinking they would be.

2) Community is excellent so far and look forward to a good long ride and the game itself is fun and a bit different than other things out there.

3) Technical issues are the same at every MMO launch. You have people who cant DL a patch. those who cant login or stay log in, geometry issues of falling through the earth and dying and the fps hiccups. Its always the same and will improve.

I would say if you like the idea of a post apoc MMO then give it a shot. I can see how things will progress and the technical problems will work themselves out soon enough but if they bother ya then just hold off for a couple months till things settle down.

I'd suggest you read parrot's post (and mine) and stop there. FE isn't perfect bug wise and her looks won't win a beauty pageant. That said, realizing that every girl (or boy) has issues, she's certainly one to take home and introduce to the parents.

Asheron's Call. The one open world, classless progression, live team content oriented game that ALL game sites and developers show little respect for as a template to pattern future MMOs after.

Like Khalathwyr suggested; don't read this. But incase you do, if you don't mind occasional glitchy/laggy NPCs and you would like the chance to be a part of a MMO community from the start, get the game!

Despite some crashes and minor bugs (mostly server lag related), I enjoy myself. FE, even in its current shape, is absolutely worth a look for those looking for a mmo with slightly more focus on world and immersion than traditional linear questing.

There are enough of innovation to keep me interested for now, and the post appoc setting is sure a breath of fresh air.

I've been reading some dev interviews, and I encourage their focus and vision. They seem to acknowledge their niche and know how to develop it further. Well worth supporting!

Imagine breathing post apocalyptic air, I wouldn't call it fresh at least.

I am sorry, I couldn't resist.
