Certainly they could sue, anyone can, but they would be laughed out of court and probably be found liable for the other party's court costs. Sanity has nothing to do with it, we're talking about the law. Please refer to my earlier post where I link to a United States of America government site that should settle this argument if you would just take the time to read it. Here it is again: www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html "Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation..." "Can I copyright the name of my band? Aion would have to copy one of the band's songs to be in trouble. Now if that Polish band also produced a video game, then NcSoft would be in trouble.

Because stealing a name = stealing name, design, logo, zone design, song names, tree design, gate design Right?
Yeah because you know...this Japanese Band actually has some of the same designs, logos, AND even have a song called Aion...and an album called Aionism. And you know the group sorta looks like they could pass off as Asmodians... |

Where's his big yellow M or clowns, I see no clowns. There are however kilts and I kinda like the kilts thing too, so maybe a clown in a kilt.
Disclosure: I have played WoW before. I puked blood for a week but I did play it. ----- |

The only real argument is maybe the name (which you can't copyright) everything else is fantasy stock. Like the other guy said you'd get laughed out of court. |

Yeah, but those lawsuits rarely have a pay off.
You can always sue.. but the question is do you have a real case? Not really. Some people look for any reason to hate a game.. probably will all end up playing though ;) |

If they however uncanily did happen to just instantly have very, very similar art content... ----- |

Even if they had a case, Polish courts have no jurisdiction over an Asian company. Even if the courts found in favor of the band all Aion would have to do is not do business in Poland. Korean courts definitely would not take the case and international courts, like everyone has said, are a joke and wouldn't even take this case. I think NCsoft is safe. The font/look of the covers aion and statues of angles (it's Poland the worlds most devote catholic nation) say little to me. If you knew anything about Poland you would know that shit is everywhere. Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls. |

If they were an American band, and NCsoft was an American company, the band could sue, and would win.
Outside of the US, lol @ this thought. |

So, you are saying..the Gothic Churches and other type of churches can sue NCsoft as well because those statues are in churches as well... |
