NCsoft recently announced the server names and timezones for all the aion servers.

Of course there are only eastern or western, no central servers.

Cmon NCsoft where is the love for the central people? We deserve to be able to have a server fit our schedules too, instead of being stuck an hour ahead or behind our legion buddies wouldn't it be nice if we could be synchronized? Especially in a pvp-centric game where working together in a timely manner is so important? 

If Aion wants to compete with WOW and everyone knows it does shouldn't it have central servers just like WOW?

Seriously! dude? wats the time difference between central to west or central to east? 1hr? 2hr>

and u want something that fits your schedule? Go sponsor ncsoft a server for that purpose then. you have ppl playing on gmt +8 timezone and theyre sucking it up. and here you are complaining about 1hr-2hr difference. you're as pathetic as every other american who is spoiled. you're acting juz like your government, you expect everything to revolve around you. pls bear in mind.. that theres planety of other nations as well. not only the you-ASS -of-A.

Not going to happen. Why? I'll answer with two questions of my own:

• Where are the EU servers located?
• Where are the Oceanic servers located?

EU release servers are going to be in Germany.

The difference is two hours for coordinating fortress captures. You guys misunderstood my post I think. I'm not looking for a new location for servers but just a couple servers to have their time clocks set to central so everyone has a timezone that suits them. It is not hard to implement and I don't really understand why they haven't. There is a huge population of players from the central timezone so why not?

I think they should have central servers also, but only a 1 hour difference between central and eastern so it's not that big of a deal.

Fortress should have to be defended 24x7, there's no coordination of effort, step away from WOW and play a PVP game like they were meant to be.  Everything isn't supposed to be fair and balanced, its the gaps in coverage that give the enemy their opportunity to succeed and account for the back and forth in the game.

A well run alliance will make sure their fortresses are always defended, if not, they'll lose em.

What about PST?  I live in Seattle... my latency will blow ass playing on an East Coast server.

Edit: Look at that.. last time I looked there weren't PST servers.  Wewt.

 Time zone servers are trivial at best for the US. Sure from Eastern to Pacific it can be a big difference. But even withiin each timezone server, most people's schedules rarely coincide. So CST/MT shouldn't be that big a deal, just join a server close to your tiem zone ... things will work out.

Eastern Servers should only be an hour ahead of you. This isn't so bad. I don't think I have ever played on a server in my time zone still found lots of people to group with.

I don't think it's so much that the servers are going to be centered around those timezones as it is those are the timezones those servers are located in.  Why is it that servers are almost always located either on the East Coast or more frequently the West Coast and hardly any are located near the center?  I figure if you wanted your servers located somewhere to be the closest to everyone in general it'd be in the center rather then on the edges.  Sure in the past the largest populations were on the edes, and even now the two most populated cities in the US as estimated by the Census Bureau in 2008 are New York and LA however Chicago and Houston are the next two largest, both located in CST, and Texas has two other cities ranked in the top 8.  That's 2 more then any of the other states.  So seriously, why no CST love yet?  Drop a server in Chicago, DFW, San Antonio, and Houston and you'd be set.

Same here i find it better because i have to play late at night and on weekdays most east coast servers are dead by 11pm so the west coast ones make it alot better for me

from cetral to either side its +- 2 hour on each side lol wont kill you lol 

most connection is all fiber optic ,just bating your eye lash took longer then get the signal lol

aion patched this week so now we get on average 200 ms ping very good havent seen rubberbanding yet since patch in america

I live in Texas, not far from the old NCSoft studios (TR /cry). I'd like all the servers here please.

Yeah it's hardly something to complain about. In fact you might want to pick an eastern or western server anyway because there will probably be more people playing. So yeah.. i guess it would be nice, but certainlly not anything worthly of complaining or creating a thread about.

Just dub one server the unofficial X time zone server.

Really, I'm happy they have EST servers. I quit many a MMO cuz every server was peaked during PST.

I live on the east coast, I'm loving it. Tired of lagging in wow and the warrior killing  me is 8 yards behind me.

firstly, i would like to start with an apology. it was in a fit of anger. yes there are spoiled brats everywhere, even where i come from. well, that day was the day the server timezones were announced, and i have read more posts(not only from here obviously)about ppl from NA complaining that there are no servers for central timezone more than those ppl from down south (oceanic). if there is some love to be given, obviously the ppl from oceanic regions since their time zone is way ahead of NA. and prime time on NA would mean work/school time for them. bear in mind they did not choose to play on NA servers, its just that oceanic AIon unfortunately or maybe fortunately (depends on how u view the issue) will be based on AIon NA. EU timezone would be closer but the lag is worse.

it amuses me that ppl would complain about +/-2hrs of their time zone more from those who are +/- 13-16hrs. isnt it already a privilege to be living in the states and have lower ms, closer timezone to the servers. what more do they want/?they failed to see the larger predicament others have  See this kind of selfish behaviour is what ticks me off and after reading too much posts on that minor issue, i blew my top. i apologise again for my previous rant. it was uncalled for.
