I can't see why EQ1 and UO wouldn't work on a netbook. Generally, most netbooks are far more powerful than the gaming PCs from the days those games were young. I could be wrong though.

Mount & Blade (Modified with Lords and Realms Mod)

Battlefield 2 - Buggy as hell still but I do have fun with it.

IL-2 series of sims.  Can't have enough of the F4U Corsair.

No MMOs right now.  Even LOTRO has alienated me due to the direction of patches towards my favorite class.

Spelling and grammar do matter.

I find your lack of real-life skills disturbing.

Dunno about netbooks, but my notebook is a Athlon x2 (dual-core) with integrated graphics. EQ1 ran just fine on it while I was subscribed. EQ2 can be run at reduced graphics settings, but I've noticed a slow response to the keys; this may be partly due to the public wireless connection I was using at the time. Combat grinding and crafting are fine on the laptop, but I would avoid any serious combat.

Ah another fan.  I'm a recent player of it.  Haven't tried the vanilla version of the game, dived straight into the mod scene.

Mods... why I prefer PC gaming

E few weeks ago I finished SW:KotoR II/SithLords again.

Currently am into Aion Beta and for some reason enjoying it allot more then I did Champions online as for me Aion feels more MMORPG to me then CO made me give that feel. But then again I played Prototype before I entered Champions Online, so that also might be a reason why I couldn't really get into CO.

Still got plenty of time in GTA4 even though I bought the game on release I am still not finished, mainly due to very limited time to spend on games so hop in of and on in GTA4.

Sometimes I jump into UT09 or Cod/WaW multiplayer.

Anno 1404 aka Dawn of Discovery takes up some of my playing time occasionaly.

For now looking forward to Batman Arkham Asylum which hopefully get's delivered this week.

I've actually started playing Aion again over the weekend. It's improved quite a bit since the first beta events. Even runs a lot smooth on my 2 year old gaming laptop.

Been playing Wow for almost 5 years now.  Awesome game. Misses SWG pre CU a lot.  Would have played those games side by side if they had not destroyed SWG  as they did. Those games are different but amazing in their own ways.

EvE-online and Second Life (thought you are not playing Second Life - you are living it).

I'm currently playing Champions Online and loving it. Since SWG the only MMOs that I've put a decent amount of time into are CoH/CoV and WoW.

At the moment nothing. Looking for a decent MMO though, at least until STO comes out and then SWToR.

What makes a good MMO? Good quality, good customer service, good business model, good fun.

Beta testing an open source project.  It's a fun experience.  Devs are very open to input from testers.  Has a real community feel to all working on the project together.  It's really an MMO for gamers made together by the gaming community.  Sorry I can't name it.  Legalities apparently.

I'm just really not very excited about what the corporate fat cats have done to this genre.  I've been a fantasy role-play gamer for decades and used to be in national competitions when video games first came out lol (yeah I'm a veteran nerd :P).  It's a real shame to see how corporate shennanigans have interfered with the evolution of the MMO.  Hopefully gamers will vote with their feet enough to weed out some of the deadwood, and MMOs can get back on track to fulfilling an incredible potential for online fun and community.

P.S. A bunch of my friends enjoy WoW, EVE, LOTR and Ryzom.  They like the game play and generally feel that they're treated with dignity.

They need to make a new phobia classification for people that hate SOE.    Me Im burnt out on mmo's they all seem to be the same old grind.    I got tired of getting the new shiny trinket long ago.     Me im enjoying the new patch for BF2 , 1.5 came out this last week and is pretty fun.      Also just got Hearts of Iron III, a strategy junkys dream game.

I'd call it more of a fear of them changing the game on me, then me hating them, but I could be wrong.

Is it a phobia? Or is it an immunity to their lies?

Bought into WoW for about a month, after being tempted by several free trial periods over the years.  Then realize it really was only a grind.  /quit

Bought a new rig recently that could handle BioShock and Sins of a Solar Empire.  Been digging those.  I'm almost always two years behind in my gaming.

I'm ten hours into Fallen Earth and enjoying that, too.  I see some potential for that game.

A friend of mine loves Sins of the Solar Empire.  Says I should get it :).  I played Sword of the Stars for a while.  I think it's similar.  I really enjoyed it, and the online capability.  Also, Fallen Earth recently caught my attention.  I might give it a shot.

I was big into Homeworld way back when.  It was my first experience with online competitive play and I ate it up.  I haven't learned Sins well enough to tackle the online aspect but may eventually.

I recommend anyone missing preCU SWG at least try FE.  No, it's not pure sandbox or open world, but feels pretty close.  I'm not very deep, but there seems to be a lot of character variety possible with the skill system.  Plus,  no orcs or goblins.   There's a free trial going now through Halloween.

*** And I have just learned that our old friend Tiggs is the community manager for FE.  ***

What am I playing? Forza 3 as of yesterday, no PC game worth playing right now (not even Modern Warfare 2), I still occasionally launch CoD4.

List of SOE lies
What do Treyarch, EA and SOE all have in common? A habit of ignoring customer feedback and suggestions and their inability to properly beta test their products, resulting in crappy products.

Been playing Fallen Earth myself.  I've found the game very interesting.  I've enjoyed playing, hopefully I can play it some more, but been hard to find free time lately.

I was playing Fallen Earth the other day and saw the name Tiggs pop on the chat.  Wasn't there a Tiggs that worked on SWG and is it the same one?
