So they are both having roughly the same setting. If I'd now play Fallen Earth instead of Fallout, what would I get? So if I'm right (I'm not an expert on either game),
FE is superior to Fallout in matters of:
While FE is inferior in matters of:
I don't want to bash FE or anything, it's one of the few MMORPGs I actually consider buying. But is this comparison about right? Or what would you add?

The two are incomparable. Completely different games. Completely different architecture,. Completely different development processes. Completely different set of challenges. ---------- "No, your wrong.." - Random user #123 "Hello person posting on a site specifically for MMO's in a thread on a sub forum specifically for a particular game talking about meta features and making comparisons to other titles in the genre, and their meta features. How are you?" -Me |

No, your comparison isn't right. I wouldn't even call it a comparison, because, really, what did you compare? |

MrBloodWorth is right. Might as well compare Fallen Earth to Batman: Arkham Asylum. |

The two are incomparable. Completely different games. Completely different architecture,. Completely different development processes. Completely different set of challenges. Elaborate please. To me they don't seem that much different. They are both roleplaying games with a postapocalyptic setting. The biggest difference is: one game is to some degree multiplayer, the other is completly singleplayer. In what way should they be that different that you can't compare them? |

Fallen Earth: It's a sandbox game where you progress your character over months of gameplay and you can group, form guilds, eventually build towns, and the game will continue to have new content added and grow like any other sandbox MMO.
Fallout 3: You play through the story and return the game to the rental store. |

I am sorry, but that is funny.. LOL I don't know if I could rent Fallout from Blockbuster, I probably would have never returned it. Fallen Earth / Lords of War |

Originally posted by Persephassa Really? You can build towns? I though you just took over towns within the Pvp zones. |

My short time with FE was enjoyable and I plan on supporting the devs later on (busy with Eve atm). As for FO3 the game for me atleast was amazing and the only single player rpg I've played more (in the last few years) has been mass effect. I don't know anyone who just played FO3 to the end and sold it off. Most people are still messing with it since its release. Damn thing has more content and replay value than most themeparks on the market. Why would I play a pathetic themepark MMO when I could enjoy a masterpiece like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age? |

When I finished the story the game was *over*. It didnt let me continue on like in Oblivion. I didn't feel like starting over.. |

But the ending problem in Fallout 3 is easily fixed, either with a community made mod or with one of the official downloadable expansions (which also rasises the level cap to 30, another thing you could also opt to get through a mod if you so wish). |

fallen earth and fallout are about as different as rice and bread. fallen earth is muc more of a generic MMO that you could reskin to nearly any genera while fallout is a post nuclear world which is a bit harsher world for the most part much more diverse weapons food and drink are more important but you are also quite alone both worlds are static and never changing you will never make any part of your world a better place for having worked or fought somewhere. make a world, not a game, we dont want another game. |

People keep mentioning Fallen Earth is a sandbox. It is not. You cannot build your own towns, have your own housing, etc. The dev response is something to the effect that they are considering it (last i knew) To reiterate, it's not a sandbox. --- I think the issue comparing the two is the online aspect. If you played both games as a single player game (no grouping, ignoring chat, etc.) Fallout wins hands down. If you factor in grouping and the social aspect...I guess it's who you group with. Fallout has some pretty sweet companion mods =) |
