No word from Turbine on the official forums on the servers being closed. I am guessing that they had a huge response and had to limit the amount of people per server. It's obvious from the lack of developer response in the technical forums that what's left of the team is stretched pretty thin. It's a free game so don't have any huge expectations if you try it and have a problem you won't be disappointed in the end. |

dont know where you try to dl ,but i accesed ddo.com today no problem whatsoever dx10 works fine in game freaking huge pile of player but asside from that no problem accessing the game i dont like the way you have to go to download and register but aside from my beef ,site worked great! |

I have no idea why the servers look closed to you, but they are not closed in general. Seems to me DDO has recently added to their team actually. I have seen a couple of new people post recently.
PS: Turbine clearly said from the start that people would be subject to a queue if the servers got too full. |

Fixed the problem, I had to create a new trial account. After the trial account was created all worlds where open |
