Long story short is anyone who don't like aion is either a troll, noob, stupid, "working for other mmo company other then ncsoft", and more idiotic things fanbois are labeling them. This is so sad and has gone too far!!! Only thing comes in my mind is all these "great" aion lovers have to be brainwashed by ncsoft or something, cause they go far and beyond to insult in maximum anyone who don't like Aion. I think everybody is getting way too defensive against and for Aion.

Its an >>>OK<<< game. It will occupy a few months for me until something I like better comes out. Its not the most incredible, innovative game ever. It also isn't horrendous or terribly badly implemented. I'm lost at why people get so emotional over it.

It is very simple actually. Some people consider the avatars in an  MMOs as an extension of their personalities. If they don't like the game it feels very personal, as if their human being were somehow incomplete (and vice versa)

If the shoe fits....Look kid, if you dont like an MMO and come to that sites forums to trash talk it and try to convince people on the borderline not to buy it, then ya, you are prolly one of those things you just mentioned.  Let me put this in perspective for you -- I dont go to any forums of any games I dont like and talk negatively (or even at all) about those games.  Whats the point ?  You come here and try to stir the pot, then you have some reason for it -- and trust me, its not to save me $50 -- none of those trolls (clowns) give a damn about me or if i waste my money.  Most are wow boys who dont want to lose subs in their game since it is their whole life.  lol -- so sad.

I keep going back and forth about Aion. I have no other MMO out there that really interests me and Aion, to me, is much better than the average MMO out there. In fact I think it's one of the best.. but it's nowhere near as good as FFXI or GW.. sadly though FFXI has become too outdated for my liking and GW hasn't added any real content in a long time so I've been bored with that for well over a year....

So yeah it's not the best.. but for a lot of people this is the best there is right now.

I'm no troll or anything but as far as an honest opinion on Aion...Eh.  Played on my friends 3rd CB (I think) and the most recent open beta cause he wanted my opinion.  Gameplay wasn't bad but nothing great either.  It looked great but in that pixie tattoo on a chicks back kind of way and that's just not really my bag.  Liked the whole wings thing once I figured out how to fly right.  The one thing that really just didn't sit right with me personally was the running.  I just couldn't get on board having to look like Leo Dicaprio in Gilbert Grape running around.  I know it's a weak excuse (a lot of games can't get running down either) but I'm not shelling out bucks to look at that for level after level.  So if you like pixie tattoo worlds and don't mind funny looking running then go for it cause it's not that bad. 

OP, show me a game pre launch (or pre-expansion launch)(heck, even on announcement of expansion launch), where people don't behave in the way you describe. If the answers you got in this thread is any indication, there are quite a few level headed people following Aion among the rabid fanboys.

Main reason I would talk bad about a game in mmorpg is so less people play it cause all companies now days check who has many subs and make their new game like that. Like ncsoft for example they had their own style yet again changed to more wowish style to get as many subs they can...its all about money. I played ffxi since day one till today I still play it, its original and very group oriented, pretty much brigs people together. I blame wow for all the a-holes that mmorpgs have attracted now days wow went casual all the way and got many people in the genre, now these a-holes that all they know is talk shit to the next person are blending in any game that comes out and act like they're pros and what they say is all it matters. Aion is a brand new game with a outdated gameplay trying to get attention.

All you aion fanboys do a research on upcoming FFXIV and see what originality means and how changes can be done in the mmorpg genre.

Well, I resemble all of those terms at one time or another, but I'm pretty thickskinned, and I'm not afraid of anyone affecting my $15 a month. I suppose if all posts were vanilla, what could we talk about other than the arcaness of xyz game mechanic.

Clearly you forget OP that Money rules the world. Its not what you say about the game, hell its not what I say about the game, Its what the millions of people who pay for the game who Ncsoft answer too. They don't give a rats ass about originality. They want money. Sure they could have made something completely unique and unknown to the world. But then they would have had a great risk of game failure. At least atm they have ~ +/- 4million subs in Asia alone. To them thats jackpot. What other MMO besides WoW has a couple million subs? The second biggest MMO next to WoW that I know of that has a big subcount is EVE. but they have some 500-750k subs online so... yeah... NCsoft Aion is very successful, people like you just want your 5 seconds of glory posting a thread saying how much you hate it hoping another 2-3 people back you up. 

Get over it, you don't like the game? Fine, we didn't need this thread to know that. We have enough crappy Aion flaming threads.

Seriously roll on launch when all those who are in on free ride's are gone from the Aion community and we can get back to the majority being genuine fans of the game and can find the interesting discussion's on the first page not 10 pages deep in crap.

no, it is an example of someone tired of listening to douchebags like you come onto a games forums and bash bash bash. WHY ELSE would you come onto a forum to bash a game other than to troll? Aion has the best chance of success out of any MMO released since WOW. in no way shape or form do i think "deep down" that the game will fail, as you so idiotically put it. you only purpose for coming in here is to get attention because your mommy wont play with you anymore or something....
