Undecided until I see more proof that there is a mulitplayer portion to this game.  You know, grouping and actually doing things with other people (which is what MMOs used to be about).

I will have to agree with Vladakov.  I don't see how this is a WoW wannabe...  how jedis will run the galaxy (as in the most popular games its usually the "evil" side that overpopulates) or be overpowered when its already been said by the developers that the other classes will be able to kill jedis and sith... and  the graphics look pretty on par with the usual KOTOR graphics.... so if thats WoW cartoony... I don't know what to really say other then... maybe take another look?  What I'm hearing is, "I don't want any other game to succeed."    that seems to be a major theme here on MMORPG.com

From what I know of people that have left the umbrella of EA/Bioware I can say that I will be shocked if it is more than a NGE version of KOTOR. I say this also from already released videos as well. The NGE dumbed down a game that was very good to a level for younger fans. Everything I have seen so far from the GIANT transparent places for smugs to hide to the v/o's seem pointed at the 9 year old crowd. Maybe I am wrong but I am not on the edge of my seat.

Based on the very little information we know about the game now? Probably not. "Story" alone isn't enough of a selling point to me - not when it comes to MMO games, as they are much more time-consuming and costly in the long-term.

I need to atleast know that the game has some innovative mechanics when it comes to guild management, crafting, selling/buying player looted or crafted items, endgame content, pvp, cosmetic/social features, instancing, planet/environment size and persistence(are the evironments dynamic, is there weather, destructible terrain?), leveling abilities and the structure of talent specs(if there are any?), chat system, and I could go on forever..

Yes they have said thy will be adding vehicles.. what they have not said yet is if they will be doing space combat or not.. but they hinted that they are looking at it....  They said there will be crafting and pvp and so on and so forth, but they are still fairly tight lipped...  not trying to "change any minds" but just letting everyone know what to look for in the next few updates.

I don't think much will change when the game is out. And yes I have seen pictures and movies and suprice, suprice they look the same! In my eyes it look like a game for the young generation... maybe +3 game or something. The world and characters look a lot like WoW. Cartoonish for me.

So they will ask for more and more and Bioware will give. People like to call me troll or stupid. It's easy when someone do not like your game. But most of the time I have been right about the games that I do not like. Some have lost a lot of subs, some have even been killed.

I see a lot of Bioware is the best here, people forget about Lucas. Even if Bioware might be great. Lucas can still mess around with this game. Don't forget that!

Realistic graphics dates games too much for me.  Some games looked realistic 10 years ago and now just look dated.  Where as cartoonish graphics are less likely to look dated and are able to withstand age a lot better imo.
 

I hope you are right about the Jedi.  I won't have to look very far for a target.  In almost every game there is always one class or two that people gravitate toward.  At one time WoWs pop. consisted of over 1/3 rogues and hunters.  Were they easy to play...yeah.  Were they unbeatable by other classes...no.  Haven't came up with a good moniker for them yet though, Jeditards, Jedidiots, Jescrubdi?

I'll wait till closer to release to decide how much it's changed from what we see now.  Sometimes alpha is a lot different then what's released.

Having an opinion doesn't make you a troll but making your mind up about an entire game based on limited information doesn't make you smart or open minded.  If you aren't interested in a theme park Star Wars MMO that's fine.  There are a ton of people that are and don't share your opinion. 

BioWare does make some pretty good games.  So we can just hope LA lets BW do what they do best, make a fun quality game for us to enjoy.

From all I have seen, I'm not impressed. And I do like BioWare games.

They were talking about some ultra fun innovative combat... But so far the TOR video looks like a beefed up KOTOR combat, I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking, but also not a carbon copy. So much for the hype!

I'll try it if it's possible, not holding my breath anyways.
