I've been gone from UO for a crazy long time.

I recently returned to try the trial (my old character from 2002 is gone).

I have to say this game has come a long way. The new targeting system, the action bars and map just simply amazing.

The graphics look alot better than I remember and the skill system is even more in depth now than the so called golden era of the game.

I may kick all of these new pos wow clones to the curb and sub to UO.

Im really impressed with the game. OH and before any oldschool PK diehard posts I don't care about FFA pvp so don't bother.

This game is Pure Win. Give it a shot guys if you enjoy sandbox games.

Why would I play a pathetic themepark MMO when I could enjoy a masterpiece like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age?

I agree with you 100%.

It seems that the people that quit UO when trammel came out just have no idea what UO is really about.  It's more than just the FFA PVP (which I will admit I miss it at times too).

1999 - 2008 Ultima Online veteran and I enjoy World of Warcraft!

I have been to the end of the universe and back only to find that the beginning and end are the same.
