So im looking for a new MMO to play, i am deeply thinking about EVE or Darkfall because they both seam to fit what i want, i want me and my corp/guild/clan/alliance to fight over land and take control in a pvp based game, whats your opinions, and is there an even better game out there for this?

Do you like fantasy more or sci-fi?

Do you want to have a walking avatar or be a spaceship?

Do you want FPS combat or more Rts type combat?

Do you want full loot pvp or partial loot pvp?

Do you want a Active skill system or one that skills overtime?

Answer those and I'll point you in the right direction.

Eve may not be full loot, but you certainly don't keep anything when you die...I mean...it blows up...you're not getting any of that shit back.

Just clarifying in case you were wondering.

Also, mortal online is coming out either later this year or early next year. It's kinda like darkfall but more realistic and you can have houses and the world seems bigger at first glance.

um they already stated MO will release with only the main continent. That in beta takes about 30 minutes to run across it.

Darkfall's world compared to MO's is much much more massive.

I'm just saying, since I know MO has plans for more space in expansions, but so can DF.

also Darkfall has had a personal housing system for months now.

I would say go to the Eve game forum on this site and look at the 21 day trial thread. Give it a go. If you don't find it to fit the bill for you, then DF is certainly a reasonable option to try, though I don't believe there is a trial for it.

well to me it seams that EVE has all its issues figured out, and Darkfall is still new and working on that, i gess i like people more than ships, but then again EVE's market system looks a lot better, but then again, Darkfalls combat is more involving, but then again... Has anyone played both that has an opinion

 o and BTW i did do the EVE trial, its fun, i understand the gameplay (at least i think i do) and i feel it would only get more fun as i gain skills and join a corp right? like it would gain a lot more depth. But still Darkfall looks cool too

No eve still has issues and working on it ,actully  i dont think any mmo can be issue free .Eve has its own problems   client /server prolems ,lag - desyncs ,bugs, promised but not delivered things still on the to do list , some serious some not  and never ending nerf cycle . 

Btw be careful at eve online forum ,it is under attack at last times ,use firefox with no script add-on use upto date an anti virus ,dont click to any outside link -dont open any naked girl/satellite thread , links to trojans/keyloggeres posted some ppl lost accaounts.you are warned for your security

EvEs Issues are nothing compared to the majority of mmos. Client/lag problems? where? in low sec during a full moon on the 5th day of October? The new tech near squashed all of the server issues including Sync issues. As for promised features what are you refering to Ambulation? CCP never gave a release date so how is it promised and not delivered?

Also the balance in Eve is fine, compare it to any sandbox game and you will come to appreaciate what CCP has done with the game.

As for the Keylogger thing how is that CCPs fault? People are assholes, just be smart and have protective software.

DF has a long way to go to be at the quality of Eve which is to be expected but don't come here trying to make Eve look bad.

In time DF will beable to compete quality and polish wise to Eve but no not right now even if the DF fanbois want to make shit up to make Eve look bad.

Honestly I would go with Darkfall if you want more action oriented gameplay, and EVE if you want more strategy and planning with tons of UI and in depth systems.

I play both and will for a long time although Darkfall I keep active now, and EVE I sub 1-3 months at a time then take a break usually. 

If I had to give myself an answer to the same question it would be Darkfall.

Another eve fanboy cant take truth ,do you want to see client/lag problems go to  issues /workarounds and look there .Promised features what about jove or  alliance copy jobs from posses how long passed since it disabled but did not come back?What about famous ''eve has sound  ? '' quete .  Even CCP did not claim thay fixed desync , they just found and will fix it soon .do you want more?

Who said keylogger thing is CCP's fault ?Just warned to be carefull on eve-online forum.

To like a game is  one thing ,  to close your eyes to problems another thing , blaming ppl telling the problems differet ting .Wake up man

 I would go with a EVE trial. Why not? you can get a 21 trial easily by asking for one. I would even email ya one or just grab it off steam. Then if you don't like it you have lost nothing. The  you could go for DF...which I have not got to try yet but will eventullay for sure. Im old enough to remember when it was announced so I gotta give it a go just broke atm.

Not quite sure about the above posters Issues with EVE I always thought it was a very stable client. As far as the missing features *shrug* Sorta like having 20,000 options but bitching about the 2 you don't lol...but hey we all have our opinions :) Luckily you can make your own opinion free with EVE.
