One of the main things I see people complaining about is running up to the mob or opponent in pvp when you use an attack.

The fix for the couldnt possibly be more simple.

1. Press ESC (Options Menu)

2. Click Options

3. By default it is already at the gameplay tab, if not click that.

4. Click  "Disable auto-approach target"

To some of you that leaves nothing else to complain about. For example the "Aion - Not that great thread.

And why, as a melee character, would I disable something that others use and gives them an advantage?  Why would i, or anyone else for that matter, gimp themselves in that way?'

The point is the advantage it gives in pvp and takes away a lvl of skill needed to stick to your target and fight during pvp.  It should be removed all together.

You've completely missed the point I think. The problem isn't that you're forced to auto approach, but that you're allowed to do it at all. You don't even have to worry about running up to your opponent yourself, the game will get you to them without any input on your part.

LOL, now if I could only somehow shut off the peoples using it against me. Thats the point not how to turn it off for myself.

I must be missing something then. I don't see how that gives you an advantage. Possibly in flight yes, but you have no comparison to give since you can't name many MMOs with aerial combat. How hard is running up to an opponent? The game had click-to-move set to default in CB and thats the only way to attack something with that sort of movement, that's why it's there.

If you can't see how this gives an advantage in pvp then yes, yes you are missing something.  Any form of logical thought on this matter from anyone who has pvp'd in mmo for any length of time will reveal why this is an advantage.

Uh no it's not an advantage the feature is used if you don't want to press wasd to move at your enemy. And if you think battles are easy like just reaching your enemy with auto route and stand still then did you really pvp?

lol pressing WASD for 5-6 secs or auto-follow... who rly cares

I think it is truly irrelevant.

it doesnt take more or less skill.

anyway most people will use WASD for bonuses or just to run around you

I for one, loved auto follow/stick

Used it in DAOC all the time, gonna use it Aion. Even's out the fight for people who aren't into circle strafing like mad, aka: WoW players.

If you use auo follow to attack good luck to your survival LOL.. there are no movement bonuses given when using this therefore autofollow attack = loss, using the built in combat bonus system for movement = win

well thought out OP! I meant to write something longer but you are such a braniac it would be waste of time. Sit down in a dark room, throw all the porn out and just think about WHAT is the issue with auto follow for 3 hours. Than come back
