I followed Aion pretty much from the day it was announced hoping that the game would come together how I saw it, a Lineage II and WoW inspired game that would have an ever changing played influenced world.

The day came when I got to play it and my impressions were good at first, great graphics that don't require a high-end system to run, wonderful animations, awesome character customisation, wings etc.

Unfortunately the shiny wrapper quickly fell off as the quests got more and more monotonous, as did the monsters, as did the zones. Things were getting quite boring, when I reached the Abyss it felt like I just ran a marathon to get there because I was that bored, the Abyss brightened things up a bit, but soon enough I found myself thinking about just how boring I was when I leveled to this point and how I wouldn't want to do it again. It should be noted that while the game looked great, a great looking game alone isn't enough to be worth my time.

All in all I cancelled my CE preorder and I am sorely disappointed, did anyone else have a similar experiance with Aion?

No, because I did not burn my self out trying to get to max level in a beta ;p.

That's the thing, I wasn't rushing to get to max level, it took me all of CB and some of OB just to get to the Abyss, the quests and the zones really did not appeal to me, I know it opens up later on but I just can't see this game having any lasting appeal.

Yeah, playing beta these days require you to pace yourself.

However, I am wondering when did the OP start? Did you get to level 25 in like 15 hours in OBT?

I mean it took me like 2+ days to get to 25 in CB, but of course I didn't level the whole damn day but I still played for 10+ hours a day, but 15 hours sounds too tiring since have to play it straight through without stopping almost.

Since this was posted today, I am not sure if you are talking about OBT or CBT.

Either way, sorry the game was not for you. 

heh yeah when exactly this was in CB and it took you that long to tell us these thing's or have you basically grinded since the second the servers came up for OB without so much as a break and most likeley hardly anyone even close to your level.

Yes powergrinding does make games shit you outlevel everyone and then wonder why you have nobody toplay with.

I played in a couple of the CB's and had a lot more fun than I have experienced with other MMO's, I am definitely going to buy it when Aion comes out here.  It is a pretty fun balance of PvP and PvE, not sure about the whole PvPvE thing, but I guess we'll see once the game goes live.  

BTW - Characters were wiped after to  CB, so how exactly did it take you "part of CB and OB" to get to the Abyss?

I can't remember where did I read the interview with the Korean developer or manager of AION. It seems he said before that AION will be the second best game in all mmorpgs and just behind WOW.

You know, this is where you ruined all you troll thread. You see, the open beta just opened yesterday, plus after CB characters WERE DELETED... so, how did you leveled your characters all the way from CB to OB to get to Abyss?

And there it is. Your whole post was a big, fat lie. You never made it to the Abyss, you probably never even played the game. There is NO way you could have gotten to level 25 in one day, I dont care if you started playing right when the serves went up. It's not going to happen. You know why? Because at level 23+, you need over 2 million exp to level. 

Closed beta was wiped 2 weeks ago, everyone started fresh today.
