Who told those voice actors to stop practising?

If the current casting voices make it to release I hope they'll provide an option to turn them off because they sound completely idiotic. Perferably I'd like the old voices back or at least an option to choose between what we have now and the voices from closed beta. the way things sound now may well force me to play with the sound off and could even prove to be a game breaker...

 Honestly, while the NPC voices seem fine, the actual character voice options I don't like. I wish they would have left the option to switch back to the original voice pack without having to download it and manually add it yourself. 

I had to walk to my pc chair to play Aion, this is a game breaker for me.

I do agree the grunting voice is kind of crappier than even the CB version, but other wise it is not so bad.

Oh well, gameplay first, maybe we can patch it to run in japanese or korean voice, for now just focus on gaming.

 Sounds like typical asian/anime voices.  Are they ever NOT stupid=)  Seriously, have you ever heard good voice actors from an asian game?  Its either 6 yr old girls yipping and yapping or teenage boys struggling to go to the bathroom or worse;)

Sigh, either you did not patch, have not played OB yet or have not payed attention. the voices currently in game are NOT your typical asian/anime voices; they've been "westernized". The voices in CBT were, as you so lovingly describe, asian/anime voices and I happened to like them (the female ones at least, the male ones not so much)

I so know what you mean, I personally don't eat at MC Donalds as they don't deliver. In fact I don't ever eat anything that requires me to chew, if it can't be sucked up through a straw it's not worth it....

Ah, the voice of reason.

Is this not an mmoRPG? I like to indentify with my character and when she's gurgling like a baby's first attempt at english I find that rather hard. To me gameplay concerns the whole package and that includes sound. Besides this is a beta perhaps they'll listen and at least give us the option to either mute the voices or use the ones we had in CBT (can't hurt to try right...)

For those announcing the current voices to be a game breaker, I'll point out that you *can* use the voice packs off of the other versions with minimal effort.  I believe closed beta was using a stripped down version of the Korean voices.

the voice number 3 when u chosing is "manly" but when go in-game and start battle the 6-year-old "WOAH"s get u annoyed >.<

Hmm, I have to agree. Maybe we should make some fan ones and offer then to NCSoft. Seriously. I bet we fans could do a lot better, I'm sure its limited player dialogue.

I play female characters, and I was disappointed that there wasn't a "serious" voice. They were all like caricatures. There was the peppy young woman, the brute, the Pink Panther-esque seductress, and the little kid. So, as I'm a melee fighter or an older looking character, none of those really fit. How about a moderate, adult sounding female voice? The beta #3 voice was pretty good.

Not sure how the male voices are?

That's nice to hear although I've found a way to turn off the offending sounds (probably should look before I go off like that :P)
