omg what the hell, they suck so bad. did they not know so many would try to log in at the same time? i mean it only happens like everytime a game comes out. this blows, this game sucks, i hate them so bad. ok i got that out of my system and i'm going to go watch the movie "gamer" see you guys later and to all the kids out there, i know what i wrote above is what you are saying. take a deep breath and maybe go talk to your parents about drugs or something.

Sounds like someone is new to MMOs.

- This kind of thing happens ALL THE TIME. Companies basically have to 'guess' how bad a beta rush will be, and you should know how accurate guess work is. Compared to the closed betas here, the rush for open is a lot larger. There's really not much a company can do to plan for that. They just have to be prepared to deal w/ it if it comes.

As said earlier, just sit back & relax. The game will be up by 10-11, no doubt. Give them some time to fix it, network problems don't usually fix themselves.

For the life of me, I don't find that movie the least bit interesting.  Seems like a modern take on the whole "Running Man" concept.  Although, I suppose considering how bad the movie "Running Man" was compared to the novella "Gamer" can't really be worse.

It is kinda funny, you give away 200k beta keys, sell 200K pre-orders know you are gonna have 400k eager players trying to login and you have a login /account server that supports maybe 10k and the bandwidth for maybe 20k...

Well hopefully this helps them realize what they need in place for launch

Just a small problem with this.  The Plaync.com account management is used by ALL of their games.  This one little open beta event has taken down account management for all of their NA games.

In any case, it just means to whine/complain/irrationally rage against something.

For some reason the OP believe if an OBT launch 40 minutes late is considered abnormal in MMORPG.  LOL this is actually doing pretty well in mmorpg OBT history.

They knew many would try to log on, that was why they had keys, and yet it still got congested at first.  It is all up and running now anyways.  I wouldn't want to think about what would happen if they didn't use keys in OBT, probably be down for hours if it was freely open.

I'm not just making up the Warcraft connection, either.  These aren't the best sources, but whatever:

Contrary to popular belief, QQ is not a set of crying eyes. It actually originated with the advent of Warcraft II. On battlenet, you could press ALT+Q+Q to immediately exit the match and program. Thus the term "QQ" was to tell people to just quit because they are unskilled. The term later developed and lost it's origin and is usually mistaken as crying eyes.

In contemporary gamer culture, QQ has become the mainstream emoticon for crying eyes, though it is still often used in it's traditional sense.

This term came from the Warcraft series. The quick way to exit out of the game and enter back into the chat lobby was to press alt then Q twice, hence QQ. It also vaguely resembles an emote of crying eyes.
