So, Coruscant has been revealed as a playable world. Ingame Footage in the video found here.

I love how they answered all those questions that many have claimed to know the answers of here......like they have a backseat in the development of the game...

Will there be player housing.........check!

Will there be and AH, economy, crafting and such.....check!

Will their be PvP........check!

Will there be social features we would expect in a fully featured MMOs......check!

Basically any feature you'd expect to be in a triple A MMO will be in the game...... nuff said!

True they didn't say that but I do expect a type of housing, namely a small personal instance to call your own.

Why do I expect this?

When the announcement was made by Lucasarts that Bioware had  KOTOR in the works some early ingame pics where released, a few of those pics where of an apartment.

They did not say this.

They did not say this but there was a picture on the site of interior of  3 or 4 house looking buildings.  No one has really asked if they will do it yet, at least from what I've seen (at pax and such, not on the forums).

First, the fact that we've seen concept art for apartment interiors does not conclusively mean that there *will* be housing. They would have to design house interiors any way if players will ever get to walk into them for anything, no? After all we *do* see many interiors in MMOs without housing.

On the other hand.... About two weeks ago, SWTOR-Station reported that they'd caught a "slip" on the demo showing in GamesCom which indicated there would indeed be housing (they said they heard a list of features which surprisingly included, yes, housing - which made them stare each other in disbelief). 

Now, to me, that would not make it a given, but at least a higher probability than I'd assumed. 

Oh, and Coruscant looks beautiful. I hope we can roam freely in those amazing city vistas... 

 Thanks for posting this link, always good to have some kind of update on this game.  Looking forward to playing it even more as new stuff is released, whether it be a lot  of info or just a bit, either way i like the way this game is looking so far.

It looks like I'll be hitting loading screens every 30 seconds and if thats the case like Age of Conan then I wont be playing. I hope they make zoning a seamless transition.

On the plus side, the devs confirm there will be PVP, raiding, an economy and raiding.

On the negative side, they act like shills talking to rubes.

...And Coruscant does look like a limited access themepark rather than an open landscape.

Still, it's going to be interesting seeing what they come up with. I wish they would start talking about possible beta and release dates.

Coruscant IS a frikking planet-wide city. What did you expect to see? Wide open plains and grazing dewbacks? o.O 

There is no such thing as a lot of open space on this planet. It's in the lore. Except maybe a huge parking lot. -.-

I don't think that was what storyless ment. Open landscape in this setting equals free roamability and not being restricted to X locations. I don't think he was refering to any kind of "grass" landscape.

Ok, I never expected Courscant to be in the game at launch, but that is pretty awesome.

Today’s last and final demonstration of the PAX Star Wars: The Old Republic demo shows off trooper gameplay footage. Oh also – /dance confirmed in this demo! We also got to see a little glimpse of the death/respawn system in the demo when the person demoing the game died. We are hoping to have the gameplay demo video up today if everything goes well with the bandwidth at PAX. More to come later.

omg cooruscant is in the game everything with TOR is going to be great cuz coruscant is now in TOR omg yes!!!

oh wait I'm sorry a planet doesn't make the game the game makes the game and from what I saw meh it looks boring laggy and without a good system behind the game i and many others will not be playing the game

why not show off something useful like mass pvp or come out and say the players are right and make jedi unlockable and go with a profession system.

this game is going to fail so hard i'll be laughing when people ask in 3 years when TOR comes out "why does it suck so bad?"
