 I normally never beg for stuff, but today is my birthday -- it's true -- and I had to work.  So maybe karma will have it that someone will give me an open beta key?  If not -- what's this about paying 5 bucks, is that a deposit on pre-order or you can just pay 5 at a Gamestop and get a key?

In the same boat as most other's who posted in this thread. Downloaded the 9 gig OB client only to read up later that it's not really "open" unless you have a key. Anyone who would happen to have an extra for some reason it would be greatly apreciated. Would really like to try it out.

I just installed the open beta client and discovered afterward that the "open beta" is not open, but rather only available to Fileplanet subscribers. I downloaded the file through NCSoft's BitTorrent tracker, but did not see any mention of the so-called "open beta" costing money. I refuse to pay for a file download service in 2009 (when the BitTorrent protocol and active communities ensure that there will always at least one alternative source for beta clients).

That being said, I have a 11+GB client installed on my notebook and I'd like to at least spend as much time playing the game as I did installing it. (I assure you I'm not usually this cranky, but every time I have any interaction with Fileplanet, it always seems to make me irritable.)

Yes, you can get a standard edition preorder at Gamestop for $5 (or more if you want to put down more). In return you'll get a beta key which is good for open beta. I just did this today.

Just to remind all of you zombies. This is open beta, not a free trial period.

If anyone else has a key left, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been looking to try out Aion, as it looks very interesting, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to pre-order it already, and I'm definitely not subscribing to fileplanet just to get one. If anyone has any extras from pre-ordered and a fileplanet subscription, any other way, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Could use a open beta key here, too. Prefer it to be in a PM, and I really don't expect to get one, but hey its at least worth trying. Don't want to commit to prordering the game since there's no guarantee in my eyes that I'll enjoy it enough to play...though I will admit it seems pretty good, I prefer to hedge my bets, so to speak. So if anyone has an extra key they feel they don't need, I'd appreciate it .

I would love nothing better to try out Aion.  Can't order the game till next week as finances are pretty tight this week, and well not a big fan of Fileplanet. 

If anyone could see fit to parting with a spare i would "love you long time" !!  8)

Hmm. I think the only people who will have extra keys are people who are paid FilePlanet members and also pre-ordered the game elsewhere. I could be wrong, but I preordered and I only have one beta key. Anybody heard otherwise? Sadly, it can't be a big demographic... I wanted to get my friends hooked!

I would be greatly appreciative if someone could spare an Open Beta key for me.
