For fun I fired up the AION client and the NCsoft Launcher is now downloading a 3000mb patch.  Might as well grab that now and save an hour or two on the 6th!.

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere else.  But hey, if I helped one person get patched up early then it was worth the embarrassment.

 finished downloading the patch but it breaks gameguard and demands you email some tech in korea to find out why.

Sticky Launch Error Thread.

Having trouble with the OB DL.  Fileplanet stalls during their DL manager, gamershell stalls at 17%, can't get the torrent to do anything both on falshget and bitorrent.

Any ideas out there?

I've bought the game an downloaded from steam. The game installed without issues. It also updated to the latest patch by the build in updater. I didn't seem to have any GG issues either. I'm now awaiting for the open beta.

Fileplanet and Gamershell are both suffering from huge traffic.  I found torrent end up to be more stable since the way it download actually make it better than crowding with people.  Plenty of seeder and leechers now I think, mine is already complete and ready for OB anyways.

Agreed. And many of us who have already DLed the game on bit torrent leave it on to help others DL. 

edit* While Bit torrent was faster than NC soft's launcher, it still was not super fast for me. I was between 40-90 kbps versus NC soft's 25-30 kbps.

Short answer, compared to WoW, yes it is, compared to Lineage/Lineage 2, not it isn't.

Ahhh..... i already have 816mb from NCsoft Launcher....

 I downloaded it, and it broke GG, like others said.

My issue is, I was charged for a month of gameplay already D= I got the CE free for playing Tabula Rasa so long, but why am I being charged for a month, when the game doesn't START for a month :P

It broke GG? In what way?

Edit:  I am thinking it did not break GG techinically, the server was patching for OBT and GG was also patching.  Which while GG was preping for OBT people found their launcher does not launch further.  Which it is rather normal, but it showed the error message since once they are done patching they would need to patch it up anyways.  And it seems they are done configuring GG and server now so you can use the launcher, but it is not the 6th yet anyways, so no playing.

Well if it indeed broke GG even now (Since the launcher and patching is now up and running) then only thing I can say is to uninstall then reinstall since GG came with the client, this is like the easiest possible solution.

I just launched and went through a very short patch/update and everything seems to be working.

Still a bit hot about being charged for that month though, quite annoying :/

downlaoded the patch from fileplante yesterday and installed it

Had an eror the launcher would keep saying " game not for your country"

But that is fixed now.
