Ew, and not There ...that's crap.

But I mean.

A cool, free MMORPG that you can talk-talk to people.

Like, using headset.

If you can give me some names, that would be great.

Many games have voice in the game itself.  But similar to SL in very sandboxy...No clue.

 To the OP

It sounds more like you want less of an MMORPG and more of an online avatar social network.  Back in the olden days they had these things where there were basically online chatrooms where avatar'ed people would run around and talk to eachother...  that kinda stuff... I don't have a particular one in mind as I haven't done anything like that in years.. but you should google around for something similar......

Why would anyone in thier right mind have any interest in playing Second Life in the first place? That ain't even a game in my opinion. My wife played that stupid game. We are divorced!

It's not a game in my opinion either, but it still has, or had, a lot to offer. Gets more dated by the day though. Wish someone would come up with something similar, with the possibility of user created content etc.. I enjoyed my time in SL.

As for the OP's question Entropia is most like SL in MMOs, but not really in the way he talked about.

I've played secondlife for around 6 months and then another month at a later time.    Had fun and wasn't too bad.   It's a different game completely when you bring "working" skills into it, in my case "well trained" programming skills.

_______

If you want a game that's a social network you could consider some web games.   Maybe something like renesance kingdoms, but it's not voice or similar.

If you want the world control with a bit more "game" and a bit less "sandbox":  you could try A tale in the desert, or Wurm Online.   Once again  no voice per default though.

If you just want voice you can play any game since a lot of "guilds" have vent/team-speak requirements.
