This patched nailed alot of balance issues as well as many exploits/bugs.
Cant wait for the next expansion,
Only thing I think needs more loving is more diversity between each other skills.
Some type of melee/sprint change, or a double tap dodge system with a own bar for sprint.
I have not seen one hacker yet and I played since the first month so, but I hear of them.
And the other issues I have will be coming in the next expansion,Like ship fights/reason to go onto water, Who knows maybe the issues above will get fixed as well.
Thank you AV for listening. This game came so far since the first month lol.

Agreed, this patch has all flavours of win. Addresses the majority of ingame issues and surprisingly improved other areas that had not been discussed. This game is now getting close to matching UO in terms of a quality sandbox. Just need some Champion spawns throw in :)
Playing: Lotro (lifer), Tera, D3 (addicted to levelling hardcore characters) |

When local banking kicks in, then everything in DF will make sense : ) This patch was really great, butt he next one will change the whole gameplay into " real sandbox". Player owned vendors, caravans : ) Cant wait. My best MMO have always been Pre-CU SWG, because of the sandbox gameplay. DF was only a PvP sandbox. I did never believe it would be the same as SWG....until now. Almost think DF will be a much better game then SWG ever was. |

Did they actually say they will add local banking? pretty sure they didn't. yeah great patch. wish they'd nerfed shield users harder, they kind of buffed them and nerfed them slightly. turtling really kills pvp. still alot of isssues like pvp being pure magic and magic being OP, and no skill cap. why couldn't they have added rogue for stealing mounts aswell as attacking >.> best thing about the patch is all the bloodwallers will be mobbing which means the world will seem like twice as full and means lots more pvp. |

i am beginning of thinking returning to darkfall oce i can transfer to the US server now. Nice to see this stuff. But they really need to bite the bullet and put in a level cap on combat skills at least. All the mages cand others who macroed up their skills can choose. Or maybe let people create characters of the same race and divide the skills amongst them. |

If DarkFall added the ability to search for rare baby animals and actually capture/tame them like SWG had at release... I'd buy it in a second. Not sure why I liked that feature in SWG exactly... but I did. |

Yeah! Pets would be cool : ) But it goes agenst everything that DF is. The idea is that you are responsible for your actions. Nothing else will ever fight for you. So a pet would violate that. Ofcouse just having a dog running after you could be cool, until someone kills it. |

You could think that is so. But its you that control the attacks. The mount is like a extra weapon. And you can only attack when standing still and when you have your weapons drawn. The mount does not throw away a attack when it thinks its a good time to do it : ) |

How would that be different than a mount's attack? Remember, more choices and variety is good for sandbox play. |

Exactly! I could never have said it better. If you could transform into a pet, then it would work : )

In the last paragraph:
"It includes many changes and additions to ship building, sea combat and sea objectives, part two of our character specialization system - this time some much needed love for archery and melee combat, the first step of local banking, player owned local vendors, the first set of racial skills, barber shop, the caravan system, new houses and villages, new housing objects to decorate your house with, wandering mobs, more rare drops added to monsters, new free spawning objects to discover, and much more." there :)

Depending on the pet(s) that you had out, you would receive some sort of buff or deduff for those in a certain radius of the pet. If someone was close enough to the pet, then you could do the pet attack like the mount attack as well. Perhaps a pet that allowed you to carry more items would be a nice addition as well. Or, a pet that allowed you to sprint a bit faster.
Anyway, there are quite a few ways they could go with it without having to compromise the auto aiming aspect. Would actually give some "meat" to the Taming skill. |

The idea with pets that could carry more stuff would be awesome. Maybe in the future we will have it. But dont forget that mounts and "pets" is kilable in Darkfall. No fun in traiing a pet from when it was small egg or something, then some idiote runs up to you and kill it for fun. |

Of course, that is part of the risk vs. reward with DarkFall. It's a given that all pets would be killable. If a person has qualms about risking the pet... then don't summon it. Although a "revive" skill of some sorts would be a good addition to the taming skill-set as well. |

wow I missed it completely, probably because when I read it the prior "love for archery and mele combat" line had me jizzing in my pants. |

Is anyone else loving the massive QQ coming from "hardcore" macroers and exploiters who are now going to have to put up with being on a level playing field with "casuals". |
