Similar to the partnership between SOE and DC Comics' WildStorm for their Free Realms comic book, Aion will also be receiving the comic book treatment. The DC Comics WildStorm team will be creating an Aion comic book that will be available exclusively at the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo or with purchase of the game at GameStop.
Unlike the Free Realms comic, which is receiving a 12 issue run, the Aion comic will, at least as far as we know, be a one shot deal. The comic tells the story of a young warrior named Aiva who is seeking revenge against the Elyos for the murder of her family. Via Kotaku. Michael "MikeB" Bitton |

Since most of the player base won't have access to this, it is just going to piss off most of the fans. Why in the hell would a company intentionally do something to piss off their base? Some of these marketing stradegies completely dumfound me. |

Wow, way to dis your pre-purchase customers. Damn. Ebay sucks & nobody trusts misc links anymore. So we are pretty much screwed if we pre-purchased. Not the greatest move by far. Moo. There. Are you happy now? |

looking at the bright side.....this one-shot isnt any good. Theres no writing; its just this characters life crammed into one comic book. It even feels as if its a pictoral representation of the game manual. You fight mobs, lvl up, get your wings, then go the abyss and fight the enemy. It would be cool if there were a serious manga, anime, or book treatment of the ip |

Well look at the bright side NCsoft is just living up to its constant disapointment to its customers after all look at the tabula rasa issue they had. They are just living up to there legacy get customers let them down and make a new game to real in new suckers i mean customers. What a drag they did it to me again :( By the way I preordered the game as well. That will teach me for having faith in this company yet again only to be let down as always. "The Machine" |
