The team from playnet has updated their MMORPG.com blog with a preview of Update 1.31 to their WWII MMO, Battleground Europe.

We are excited to finally reveal the details of our latest upgrade to WWII Online: Battleground Europe which will leverage version 1.5 of our proprietary UNITY 3D game engine. Currently in closed Beta testing and expected to be available for public testing this fall, v1.31 will include many visual upgrades, hundreds of new objects and major new features such as variable weather, rag doll physics and a new capture mechanic.

The meaning of life is attained by caring for the one you have created.

Nice information here.

Makes me think a lot about re-subbing again.

There are some things that concern me, that's the latency issues syncing. Weapon handling is another.

The old handling was very poor for infantry.
And we always had to use player made configs for controls, have they updated them?

Where is my bazooka!!?

What about the navy?

While I agree yes its alot of pretty eye candy.    And it does look MUCH better in screen shots.   But the few videos show that its the same game new skin.   Although the new capture system is finally looking to be a step into the 21st century.   And the rag doll is nice too....

But I am afraid there is a saying in the car world...  "You can polish a turd, its still a turd."

But I will CRS this... you have made much needed improvements.    But I am sure the Panhard can still take a 75mm HEAT round and drive off... or get hit by a 88mm AP round and laugh.

So much crap, so little quality.
