Wait, I can use the friggin' ALTAR?!? Gawddamn it........>.<

Ooops? lol. ~ ~ Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. |

Yes, yes. Tediousness = intelligence. Thanks for enlightening us. No, no. Tediousness = hardcore. Don't you play MMOs? |

Okay, on the chance there's something I'm missing here: do you not have to do the same inane quest to get the ingredients for each potion?
After contracting the disease you have 3 days to drink cure disease potion (or use spell) or pray at the altar in a temple. After 3 days the disease morphs and you have to do the quest line. |

i think we woud have known earlier if es was coming out as an mmo because with its lore and fanbase they would most deffinatly want to build a fanbase prior to release in the same way war did. |

I think I read earlier in this thread that someone said that they were going to do Fallout MMO rather than an Elder Scrolls mmo. But after doing some research (albeit online and you can't believer everything you read of course), it looks like Interplay still holds the rights for Fallout in regards to an mmo based on Fallout. Interplay has partnered with Masthead Studios recently to publish an un-disclosed mmo title that Interplay has been working on in-house since 2007. So.....maybe Bethesda/Zenimax Studios can't work on a Fallout MMO. Personally I would rather they work on an MMO based on Morrowind (rather than Oblivion) but with Oblivion/Fallout quality graphics. I liked the wide-open game world feel in Morrowind much more than Oblivion. So I'm hoping for a Morrowind/Elder Scrolls MMO since it's one of two favorite games that I'd like to see as an MMO, the other being Shadowrun (which has been attempted and was squelched my Micro$oft before they sold the rights).

IF Bethsoft is really working on an mmo I'll have to keep my eyes open. I am very interested in Interplay's, but I get the feeling it's going to have a lot of bugs at launch.
However saying that, I want to support Interplay. They've made games that have forever touched me (not in that way you pervs). From Wasteland to Battlechess to Fallout, and even some other games that I can't remember the names of now, Interplay used to be a God among developers.

I have beta tested far too many games to remember, and i still have accounts on alot of them too. |
If bethsoft make an mmo, it wont be based in Elders Scrolls. They have stated publically that theyre will not be another TES game.

I've herd about elder scrolls V coming. And about that im happy, but an MMO?? that would be horrible. it would crush normal gameplay. They would have to tottaly recreate class and skill system. and on top of that i wont be able to go on a killing spree and then just load a save game back to where i was before everyone wanted to kill me. |

there are no plans for a elder scrolls V single or mmo theyr working on a whole other project so im not sure where you heard about that. They said a mmo? maybe sometime in the future and yes bethesda said this them selfs not some random forum maded up stuff like the OP tried to start |

its clearly stated that elder scrolls 5 wont be a mmo.
about interplays fallout-like mmo i would expect little to nothing at all. they got stripped from fallout IP and low on money. they are now co-working with Masthead studios (developers of Earthrise) and some of they crew left for Bethesda softworks and working on Fallout:New Vegas (not a mmo) sp with poorly coded Gamebrio engine(again).but at least its highly customizable.
anyhow Project V13 is too late for party.

Fortunately, this is not exactly true. There is a note on the blog of Bethesda to Todd Howard's recent statement and also their PR-guy Pete Hines said that there are plans to continue Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion. bethblog.com/index.php/2009/08/17/clarifying-about-next-elder-scrolls-game-mmo-etc/ *edit:links "Women should not be enlightened or educated in any way. "Easy" only equals "better" for crack addicts and MMORPG developers. |

Now how would that be any different from any other MMO release over the past year or two? Everything gets rushed out the door before it is ready these days....it's kinda expected from MMOs. As for an oblivion MMO...it would probibly turn into little more than a dumbed down clone, just another IP that has potential but destroyed so mainstream players can follow it. |

Tbh oblivion/morrorwind class character system is better than wow. Wow 's class system lacks depth and character progression choises are very spesific and limited and ofc lacks freedom in choises. Example priest can never equip a shield, druids are limited to leather armour etc. In oblivion you can make every possible class or combo class u have in mind with ofc the apropriate penalties, u can make if u wish a battlemage,a good skilled in melee hunter, with the obvious penalties ofc heavy armours slows u down if u lack strenght endurance etc.. That way u wipe also the complains about balance from playes cause in fact there are no specific classes but classes created by the players which is up to the player how smart the choises of every skill they try to advance. Im just curious to see how they would implement pvp in an mmo oblivion style game. |

I loved Elder Scrolls as a RPG, but I really don't see how they are going to transform it into a unique MMORPG. It would probably just end up like a clone of WoW or Guild Wars or something. |

The problem with that is that eventually everyone would have top skills in everything. Suddenly what made everyone unique now makes everyone the same. I would actually prefer the melee fighting in Oblivion in an mmo. However, I would prefer it so that players had to make some hard choices and couldn't max everything out. |

Depends how many skills there are to be honest. If there are a LOT of skills, might take a long while to cap out, and they could always raise the skillcap too. Example, in eve to learn all the skills, starting from new with +5 implants and doing all the higher learning skills to max, with perfect remapping, would take over 12 years on the time based system. Having to use the skills to skill up would reward the people that spend more time playing, or macroers. I loved Morrowind as a solo game, I am waiting to see if they can avoid the many pitfalls of MMO design to produce a good MMORPG. |

Bethsoft anything = I'd pay to play! |

An Elder Scrolls MMO based in vampire clans would be interesting. Maybe some lycanthropy on the side would be fun too.
edit: lol I said that before, seems this thread still alive :D |

I only played morrowind and if they made elder scrolls mmo like that with race, class ect options it could be very popular mmo. morrowind gave me idea what true sandbox game is. it was more open then star wars galaxies pre-cu. i've played many rpg's but none gave the freedom that elder scrolls has. |
