I guarantee you will see lightsabres cutting through doors and walls in the game. Probably not just in cutscenes, either.

And "cortosis" is what? In which movies is it mentioned?

Maby they where wearing that. it would make sense to have lightsaber resistant armour when attacking a sith warship.

The game would SUCK for anyone that isent a jedi/sith, if jedis/siths sabres where as powerful as you want!

As I said - some IPs don't work for an MMO. Jedi aren't THAT powerful if you have seen the last two prequels. Three or four troopers/droids firing at the same time = dead Jedi. The problem is that BioWare is designing the combat to be typical fantasy MMO combat.

The system was the same in SWG preneg and it worked fine. Yea the game sucks now, but many people liked the game before (had about 200k subs IF i remember correctly) (PreNEG).

Not all IPs will make for a good MMORPG. I have doubts about Star Wars, and have already said that Star Trek is a terrible property for an MMO.
If you have to greatly alter the IP to make an MMO out of it, then it's a bad idea.
How will you reconcile seeing a light sabre cut open a wall, then seeing that same weapon hit an enemy several times without killing him?

Also Jedi in the Old Republic Era are considerably more powerful than their soon to be genocided PT brothers who even said in the movie that they'd lost their connection to the force.
