Anyone remembers this title which was supposed to come from Kalisto? I hope I am asking this in right place but wanted to ask does someone knows any details about gameplay, how it would have looked like. I already found character creation process video on fileplanet but nothing more. There are no screens but it seems they worked for it several years.

The game is in U-64(website about unreleased games) and there is also some concept art.

I also found some background art  for game (or whatever it is called) in one of artist website and which is pretty interesting and unknown.

So does someone knows about this?

Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s.

The "Highlander" films were a small splash pop hit about 25 years ago, but that's a long time for that movie lore to fade from memory.  I cannot see more than 9 or 10 people wanting to play a Highlander MMO, and that would include designers and family in that count.

With a possible MCG reboot of this francise/IP there could be renewed interest. I for one think that the title sorely needs a reboot. A lot has been done to tarnish this fantastic IP that could be reversed if it is skillfully and thoughtfully rebooted for a new audience. The original had some fantastic themes in it. After that the movies flopped around really badly. Kind of sad that the best thing to happen since the original was the barely stomachable series. No afront to Adrian Paul, but the stories in that were so repetitive!

I didn't know they made a sequel to Highlander.

3 sequels.

I think it is for the best that the first two are burned, the ashes buried, and the subject never brought up again.

The third was based on the tv series and not too bad as long as you you view it in the context of the tv series and not the first movie.

Nah, it sucked pretty hard too.

As for this game, I don't remember seeing anything about it. I recall there being a next gen singleplayer Highlander fighting game that was supposed to be out by now, but it seems that has fallen off the radar as well.

The film sequels were terribe, but the tv show was quite entertaining. Somehow, they managed to make a film sequel based on the tv show that was bad too.

The ip could definetly use a fiim reboot, and an mmo. I can assure you that more than 9 people would have interest. Can you imagine a permanent death, pvp oriented, FFA, sandbox mmo where you were constantly struggling to cut everyone elses head off...would certainly serve a niche.

Would be pretty cool if you consider it just screams perma-death...

Immortal unless you get your head cut off. That is pretty much the entire plot.....

there have been 5 movies total. Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening, Highlander III: The Sorcerer, Highlander: Endgame, and Highlander: The Source. Also there have been TWO live action tv series(Highlander and Highlander: Raven-based on the blonde chick). And there was also and animated tv show
