Fallen Earth will be launching six days later than expected. The scheduled release date of September 9th, 2009 has been moved to September 15th, 2009. According to the developers, this delay was necessary to make some last minute improvements and optimizations to the game.

The official announcement can be found here.

Good to see they'll give it more time to fix it in....wait....6 more days?

Assuming it launches then and is not delayed.

Bingo!

The game needs more than just 6 more days. Otherwise, it's Age of Conan all over again and they'll be working on their "Come Back" offers within the next year.

I'm not trying to bash the game, just being realistic.

This sentence is false.

agreed. Although I like the game, and love it's potential, it really needs like 6 more months.

I didn't like it. Not even a little. 6 days... 6 weeks... 6 years... wouldn't change that.

But I do wish it the best for those who like it.

fallen earth needs a 2 month delay

here are a few things i noted just on my list

water ditch in monkeytown,  water is still noninteractable
travel times overly long (recomended a steam train)
costume clothing / clothing toggles    game uses STAT armor so all cool clothes moot at level 5
crafting que ability to pause one and craft another (shift priorities) some crafts are days long
radiation barrier defined more obvious,, with rad meter clicker    (no wall just poof dead!)
vehicles need vehicle physics (jumping) vehicles are boring ground huggers  NOOB BAIT.
horse population gonna be a problem after release as in 100+ horses standing in oilville
repeatable quests not identified
need grenage physics includes the poisons and acids
need shotgun physics not slug
shotgun damage out of wack,, 410 is the smallest NOT the bigest (12,20,410)
factions are wattery and have no unique contrast.
no player chat channels
no tiered clan bank security
need more player choice in crafting dyeing or other customizations like a blue mororcycle or green berret or spicy chicken (vs normal chicken)
no /follow command
no /drag command
ability to abort a loot or harvest by moving (foward)
if i had to pick the most critical for game it would be vehicle physics and customization,, even though the train and shotguns are important to me.

They have a few minor bugs to work out. The beta is running as smoothly as WOW did when it released. I'm sure they aren't holding off to put in all the "easy mode" suggestions listed here.

Most of the features of Conan were flat out broken when it released.

This game is in great condition. I'm floored by it. I guess that's what I get for listening to all the negative posts about it before I tried it for myself. After the kids go to bed, the "new player" chat is all positive.

You want "easy mode" go play WOW.

I've been playing this game since the first alpha test. So I have playing for a while now. Although it was a good idea, but it poorly executed. The game is boring, ugly, and still has an alpha test feel too it. Not even a beta test feel, I don't see how they are ready for a release. With how many bugs, glitches, and the way the graphics look. Its just no ware near what a retail product should be. If the game was going free to play. I wouldn't care at all, but its gonna be pay to play and I don't see how in its current state its worth buying. I know other games in the past weren't ready for release, but they weren't this bad.

When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!

if just once

just one time

nobody purchased/subscribed to a not ready for release game that would be the end of this terrible cycle we are in

not gonna happen since for some reason people are so desperate for a "good" (or one that they think has the potential to be good) MMO

I almost spit my coffee on my screen.

6 days delay to fix and optimise stuff they couldn't fix the last 7 months.

Right. Nice PR spin tho. But ain't gonna work this time.

slambone = NOOB with low expectations.

theres no easy mode about it   ya fixing the water is easy mode   actually using the corect physics engine for equipment ya feasy mode

and the distances are fracking rediculous  you might have all day to sit and travel  through boring  uninteresting country the thr rest of us dont. Bseides you know whats gonna happen  they will be forced to do something  and they will drop in instant pod ports  as a quick fix  mark my words.

aftermath is my 3rd favorite theme (space, modern war, aftermath)  normally I would be all over a game like this if it was worth salt  it just is not  it is a minimalist  profit makeing game and nothing more  in many aspects I would rate starwars better!

even the PVP is a yawn  the only thing they have going for them is a halfway decent  craft and resource system if you can stand the limited storage.

the new player chat is  also filtered and controled  but also out of respect  beta testers usually limit their criticism  in game once it goes open beta  not even I  grind on its failings 24/7,, besides either the new people will realize its not very good or they wont.

my guess is you might have played to 10 level or so  in the zone known as S1  S2 and S3 are far more sparce and unfinished .. also in S2  factons come into play limiting the towns you can get quests from  and if you want to get a group together  better plan a day in advance  because even scattered around the same zone is a major endever to get grouped up.

and the auction is useless because no one wants to travel the distances to get to an auction vender   as the postal system is much more effecient even at one item at a time.

I will say this positive thing.. they have a totally awesome sky and day/night cycle  one of the best ive seen very beautiful and realistic ,, a marked difference in day and night   no weather yet which is good as the proformance is still poor

Yep been in the beta for a long time now, this game is not worth the $50 +$15/month, if the client were free and they wanted $7.95 a month sure, anyone would happily pay for a circa 1998 half life had a baby with boiling point, come MMO clone.

You know... I have been tossing with this idea for months now, seeing how it all went during Alpha/Beta and how it's going to be released now.

Just have a look at this and tell me what you think: http://www.icarusstudios.com/pages/total-solution

It gives me some DeJaVu feeling from another company. And about what Fallen Earth's purpose really is.

I'm 39. Had my first PC in 1983. Timex Sinclair 1000 ftw.

Why do you bother to bitch about a game you obviously have no intentions of playing? You should move on and start flaming the Aion message boards. I'm sure it's as much of a disappointment as you are to your parents.

From the sounds of it the money's run out, they need to start getting some subcription money in so its going out the door no matter what.

General consensus seems to be its not quite done, we'll see what happens come launch and and how many stick around after the first month.

Think I'll watch from the sidelines for now.

This game needs much more in development indeed.

I didn't find anything attractive in it except idea. If u are naturally born crafter and like spent godzilian amount of time scavenging  godzilian amount of things, then sort them, and then put together - this is exactly the game u've been looking.

Combat (PvP and PvE) reminds me of games that were published in the end of 90th. Graphics is like Half Life 1.  This game surely has a potential, but even surely will never become hit and survive more then 3-4 years.

Oh well, disappointed ppl have always more to say than the happy ones. I am on the "happy side" of this game. I have started in the closed beta in april to play, and managed to get "as high" as lvl 25 or so in Sector 2. (have not spent too much time playing since studying was actually more important). Since now I have a bit more time I have chosen to stop playing the beta, because this game is too much fun to be wasted away in a character wipe before it goes live. Many ppl here are complaining about the general performance- it really is bad sometimes, but only in populated towns, where it does not really hurt.

This game really depends on crafting- it´s true. I myself always hated to craft- until I started crafting in Fallen Earth. It is fun to make your own stuff and it really is easy. Most of the missions have a fine postapocalyptic atmosphere and the general background story is great, starting right up in the tutorial.

To all of you considering trying this game before buy: do it now while you can, and make your own picture.
