The sun billers out a most glorious light, high above a bird circles within a magistic blue sky...

Curious...cause I have a Pent.4( 3GHz) older rig with a 9000 GeForce series video card ( AGP), and was wondering if I could even play this game on my PC.

* OS: Microsoft Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or Athlon 64X2 2.4 GHz
* RAM: 2.0 GB for XP, 3.0 GB for Vista
* Video Card*: nVidia GeForce 6600/ATI Radeon X1300
* RAM (dedicated to video): 256 MB
* Free hard-drive space: 10 GB
* DirectX: 9.0c
* DivX Codec

These are the minimum specs for the game , so in short , YES .

yes. I've tested the game extensively on dual and single core machines. You really need at least a dual core (and a powerful one at that) to run FE decently.

I got into the closed beta of Fallen Earth, but I haven't played it more than 5 minutes. Why? Because my Pentium 4 (3.4Ghz), ATI Radeon X1950XT couldn't run this game, I was playing with 1 fps or so. And thats the first part where you're in a small space.

So yes, i'd say that a dual core processor is needed.

ive been playing it on a dell xps gen 2, a single core i think (fairly sure)

- i have 4 gb ram (win xp only uses i think 3 of it)

- and a raedon 1650 agp card (512 mb)

ive been using the graphics setting that were default generally, i took out pc and npc overhead names and shadows.

the game runs fine for me, it is a bit twitchy in cities (but its in beta and optimization and stress testing are occuring)

so...i'd say playable yes, but not optimal.

this is just an opinion based on my own experience, im not a tech wiz. (i also need a newer rig i know)

edit> recently i have been booted from the game (not in a literal sense) by the optimization process (i presume) - basicly getting kicked either to character select or desktop, i think it a symptom of the beta process more than a stigma pf what will be live. (only my opinion) in these recent situations a reboot of the game has sufficed to put me back into gameplay.

- i have seen a few threads started on their main forum (yes they banned me but i can still read it lolz) to the effect of people just starting characters having problems emerging from the tutorial at lvl 1 (should be lvl 2 when you emerge) and the game goes a bit haywire for them, im sure its a glitch that will be addressed in short order if not already dealt with.
