What are the best pvp classes in aion? how is balance among it ?

My experience with alot of mmos is that class balance is an issue.

is there a best group based class. Like how a good aoe class can destroy ppl in larger scales battles such as a bright wizard in war.

Is there a best 1v1 class?

Aion is without a doubt the most balanced game on release ever, thank the koreans and chinese for testing..

You dont have to be nervous about picking the wrong class in this game, every class can hold its own, but at the same time, there will always be another class who can mob the floor with you, that goes for all classes, they all have weak sides, and strong sides.

Classes that do very good in 1v1 are, Templar and Clerics...

Classes that are most group based would be, Spirit Master, Chanter, and Cleric

But just pick from your playstyle, cause theres no overpowered - steamroll - everyone - class..

I agree, but judging from your question you want to plow through people. The class most suited for this is wither a sorcerer at higher levels because they get some pretty good AoEs and moreso the Gladiator. Gladiators have lots of AoEs which are nasty and hard hitting, they have substantial defense and HP but are still able to be overwhelmed and I believe are lacking in the MDEF department.

A lot of PvP is based on a counter system.

I was a sorc...  Rangers and Assassins destroyed me, but I destroyed everything else.

Templar's can destroy the Rangers and Assassins...  That type of thing.

If you're going to be in a group and want to be sure you almost always win... make a cleric or chanter. 

If you're only going to play solo, then I'd recommend a class with sneak.

I agree fully - good advice

No class is OP - no class will beat every other class.. Class balance in Aion is fantastic... they are ALL good... and people enjoy almost every class equally. The Polls even show that. Never seen a game that was so close on who will play which class... 

Its awesome actually - for once - just play whatever you want and don't worry about getting steamrolled in end game. Every class will beat another class, depending on the matchup.

Templar is probably the best 1v1 - but you'll quickly find out this game has nothing to do with 1v1 and everything to do with strategy/mass PVP. Personally I think Sorcerers, Clerics, Glads and Templars are all great choices but honestly play whatever interests you. Assassins, Rangers, SMs and Chanters can very much hold their own
