I think Warcrafts a wonderful mmo for children . As more decent games with more advanced gameplay come along WoW will provide a nice nursery slope for them to start enjoying mmos  . I  find its been made too easy to appeal to me now but my nephews love it age 7 and 9 have a great time on it . Its not a bad thing that WoW is now designed with younger children in mind they are quite entitled to enjoy mmos like everyone else . My only wish is that they had left enough content in it that was difficult enough and appealled to me enough to keep playing .

Average age of Wow players is above 30. Posted the Nielsen study link 29 times now.

Won't do it again for troll baldrick 76, as baldrick 75 was already banned 74 times....

He never said children play it, he said it's been made into a game for children. Posting a study of average age playing still don't help you. Lots of parents make the accounts for there kids with there name/age/information.

Yeah, I think Warcraft is great for younger kids. But like Harry Potter it's gotten a surprising amount of attention from adults as well. It just goes to show that you really never grow out of something that is just mind numbingly fun. Unless you happen to be a veteran of more 'serious' MMOs and look for that same kind of challenge that you used to get from UO or AC. That's my problem, and I understand it for what it is. WoW isn't a bad game, it's just not what I am looking for.

WoW would be a better game for kids if there were a parental lock for chat filters. As it is I wouldn't feel good about letting my 8 year old nephew play unsupervised.

That's not even a decent answer or argument. :)))

But I guess since Zondorf takes care of these pages, the Wow hating trolls are being identified before they can even spawn their multi accounts. :)))

You getting involved in a thread you obviously did not read, blindly posting surveys, and declaring yourself the gatekeeper of WoW  with the ability to identify "trolls"is not a decent answer or argument.

Edit: And just to clarify, I'm not a WoW hating troll of any sort. Notice the rogue avatar? GASP! try harder next time.

What a silly man Zorndorf must be . I was actually being possitive about warcraft but i obviously touched a nerve . I dont think adults should nt play Warcraft if anything aiming it at children as Blizzard have done actually enables familys to play together . As for the average age of a WoW player being over 30 i find that highly doubtful . I did encounter players in thier 30s and 40s in Warcraft but by no means were they the majority .

The OP like many people call the game easy, but how many things did you actually do in the game? If you don't actually attempt the hard things, every game could be called easy.

Greed, you've only been an mmorpg member for  a few days but 90% of your 50 or so posts are wow troll posts.  Grow up is all I can say.

Actually the survey backs up the argument that the average WOW player is older and the game is directed at a much older audience than most like to admit. It has been posted many times over on these forums that this is indeed accurate and it is confirmed by many 3rd party sources.

Only WOW trolls, blinded by their hate for the game, refuse to see it.

What happen to the other 10%. What about me defending the wow community? And as for how long I have been a member, well, yeah that's not completly true....

And what exactly am I suppose to grow up about. I read and responded to this thread in a decent manner only to be called a troll.

Edit: Forgot to mention that you called my posts troll posts, why? I have been discussing changes I disagree with. Just because I don't like them does not make me a troll. Who needs to grow up?

lol wtf guy. The OP never said the average player is below 30. He said it's being made into a game for kids.  Just because it's being made into a game for kids does not mean adults wont play it. And he was giving personal opinion. Is reading hard today or something?

So in laymen terms, that survey was not even needed because the OP never said the average player base was below 30.

And again I'm not a "WoW troll" if you was not blind you would see that.

In my current guild everyone is college age and much higher up. Only one person I know of is under the age of 18 and he is supposedly 10, and is very immature. However listening to a prepubescent boy talking about tea baging a npc mobs head in vent  is both disturbing and funny,. Much more disturbing than funny though.

Most of the players I have met have been mature, just hope all the children that play the game are not as bad as this one though.

wow lmao. We have a kid like that in our guild vent 24/7. He is 15, and hits on all the girls. He keeps persuing this 40 year old chick in our guild. It's both annoying and funny, so we can't decide to kick him or keep him around.

WoW is not a game made for children it's a game made for everyone.  Something other MMOs haven't been able to accomplish since. WoW isn't easy, go raid the Hard mode 25 man raids or try to break 2200 arena 3v3 or 5v5.

The game is accessible not easy.

Just wait until Rated battlegrounds come out and all the really good pvpers in WoW come back that ruled the game when the old ladder system was in place. These people hated arena and now will own everyone.

Playing: WoW, EvE

Interested in: TOR, ER, GW2, WoD, Dust514

I d agree that there are a few elements in the endgame that are hard . Such as the hard mode 25 man boses and the arena .But its a very small part of such a large game . Levelings easier . getting epics is easier . The battlegrounds are easier .Honor in th battlegrounds is easier to obtain . If you want to try a different faction is easier ( now rather than leveling an alt you can pay to do it ) the list goes on and on . Its really a nonscence to say the game is anywhere near as hard as it was two and half years ago . In fact i can think of very few things that are as difficult as they were a few years ago . The thing is i think Blizzard have sort of acknowlaged they ve made huge mistakes in the game play in the last couple of years and the next Xpac is thier way of trying to sort it all out .whether that will work and whether people are willing to have faith in Blizzard as a company again long term remains to be seen .

Once bitten twice shy .
