Hello Everyone, First post here. I have been looking for a game much like the pre expansion UO for some time now. I have tried Darkfall and Eve but neither has that good old (ohhhh s$#% here comes a PK dread that used to come over me when that red name flashed on the screen) Any ideas on what games in development may even come close... just drawing at straws for a glimmer of hope on the horizon that the market is not completely wussed out to a care bear world. Would love to see a UO type system that severly penelized PK's abilities to function in the economy, but not enough to totally scare the criminal gamers away from moving to the dark side :), maybe even a posse system that rewarded PKK based on PK rep? |

ATM I'm playing a game called pirates of the burning sea it's a great game if your into naval combat it is very historicly accurate as well. There are port battles every day in which factions fight for supremacy, theirs also pvp hunters who come and hunt you down and you can fight or flight....... Or call for your guildies to come help you out. when u die other players can capture your ship or you might just blow up in witch case they can't |

Possible games consist of Earthrise, Mortal Online, All Points Bulletin and Black Prophecy. |

Mortal Online is suppose to release Q4 it takes a lot of features from UO. If theres any game close to early UO in gameplay its either Dark Fall or Mortal Online. Mortal Online uses unreal 3 engine with first person view and is in closed beta right now |

The game is in CLOSED BETA most of the features aren't added yet and only half the games map is in at the moment because they're doing stress testing/log in testing. Dark fall is already released so ya of course it's going to be better. Man I sound like a fan boy slap me. |

At this stage... you're right. However, now that server stability is within reach for Mortal Online again the features will come pouring in. I hear this barrens sized world talk about Mortal a lot. We only have access to half of one of six continents right now. Although only one is planned for release, with the other 5 coming some time thereafter. When the game launches the world will be at least double the size it is now, which is actually quite large. With no instant travel or map to go off of the world feels much larger than it really is. The combat and graphics in Mortal are significantly better than in Darkfall. As features are activated I suspect it will pull very far ahead of darkfall and its poorly done skill and combat system. |

Earthrise could fit the bill, but we're not sure beta has even started yet. |

I recently made a thread to promote these two games..
I think both of these games are going to kick some serious ass compared to Mortal and Darkfall.. |
