And these guys know how to code an engine that will run smoothly......wow!
And yes, the second half was gameplay. |

It was all gameplay the second half of the trailer. It was even confirmed by ArenaNet. So you are mistaken. What you mean is that you saw no combat... big deal.. it's going to be the character models swinging their swords at stuff. This trailer gives an amazing amount of information and insight. Way more than any other teaser trailer I've seen for other MMOs. But I'm excited! Can't wait to be there playing it. :) Playing: Aion |

What about the necro class did you not like? I've found it plays pretty similar to the one from diablo2 as far as minions are concerned. As for damage spells, of course they're a bit different, but the spells for the GW necro are much more elaborate than the bone / curse tree of diablo 2
I agree with you. and the guy who said "Blizz at least makes them interesting and fun. Like cool cinematic like sequences that will trigger for quests that deal with the main story line, using special, sometimes very cool items the NPC gives you to accomplish the quest." obviously didnt play very far through the game at all. I imagine he never left pre-searing ascalon. There are cutscenes everywhere in guild wars. especially for main quests and "Missions"(Missions more than quests). Play the game again and play through it. Trust me theres more to guild wars than just basic quests...I wouldn't have really tried the necromancer class to start off with. I would've tried something more along the lines of an elementalist. And if you've never played before picking up a mesmer would've been a very bad idea. Mesmers are very complicated and require some patience to master, but once mastered are very powerful. Even to the strongest players. MMO's are the ark of the gaming world. Let it take us in new directions. |

Played the first one. Dident like it to mutch... not sure why tbh. game was fun... Gana give this one a go also. Hopefully what ever was missing will be here this time. for me that is :P If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. |

Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path. |
Meh just an Aion clone, who wants that. We are all ignorant until truth is revealed to us.. However.. How do we know the truth is not in fact a lie.. "When a man has lost everything, he may despair and die. He might give his soul to the fate's... or, he can resolve to take action." "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |
Whats Aion? |

Amazing trailer. Is GW2 going to be fully instanciated as GW1 or will it have a real multiplayer world this time? Btw, I already hate the litte gnomes with the robot pets. |

NCSoft is known for great looking games, look at Aion and Blade n Soul as well. Graphics won't be the only thing that gets me playing though, like most of you say, if the game-play is like the first, than no thank you, instancing really kills a game.

Correction, it is Arenanet not NCsoft. NCsoft is the publisher, Arenanet is the developer when it comes to Guild Wars. |

Looks great. I will definitely try it. I am hoping my machine can handle that kind of graphics though. |

engineers are the best guys to date because we are taught to do it right the first time... |
I really like how Guild Wars has been the last 4-5 years. And to see that Guild Wars 2 will be even more interactive with the environment, meaning jumping and swimming...that...to me is gonna really boost this game's ranking even more and plus the new races really allows for more exploration and different story lines which nevertheless are just superb in the first Guild Wars anyways...so yeah I'm REALLY looking forward to Guild Wars 2...^^ |
