I'm looking for a new mmo, something with a fallout-ish setting, but with a crafting/terrain interaction system similar to Wurm online. I'm sure such a game doesn't exist, so a FO3 mod that adds a good solid crafting system would also be helpfull.

The game for which banners have been posted all across MMORPG.com would be a good start.  Fallen Earth is currently in open beta, so not only can you try it, but you can try it for free.  I don't know anything about Wurm Online, but it sounds like crafting is very essential part of the game, and it's in a post-apocalyptic setting.  Hope you enjoy it!

I don't have a fileplanet account, so I can't get into the beta. Any other suggestions?

People who fight monsters should take care not to become one

I would say AutoAssault but that is no more :/ Champions Online is open beta for a bit longer, would suggest anyone check it out at least ;p

That requires a fileplanet account, too.  You don't need to have a subscription to fileplanet right now for either of those games either, just a basic account, so it's free to try both.
