How important is this award?

It could be my ignorance that I've never heard of Gamescon, but panel of judges seems rather non-expert and kind of like random-dude-of-the-street type.

nice...the game deserves it. Cant wait until release!

Honestly I think most of us, including yourself, are just unfamilier with the judges because they work in Europe, just because we havn't heard of them here in the states doesn't mean they are non-expert, or random-dude-of-the-streets, like someone else said, gamescom is the largest european gaming festival, they are not going to have just anyone judge there.

Nope.

Because Blizzard sends slaves to troll and crap on every MMO that looks better then their nonesense they call "game".

I call them slaves because you can`t really call them emplyees (only a VERY small number of them get payed for their trolling)

Rest of them are stupid enough to agree with a different type of compensation in form of ingame items and privileges, which is sad really.

PS: I can just see some of these trolls now going "WTF? some of us get payed real $$? SOB!"

And that makes me lol.

An award well deserved.  WoW was a good game in it's time, but it's time has past and it is looking very dated.  AION is the new kid on the block and promises to give WoW some serious competition.  Watch and see what the devs at NCSoft do in the next year (with a lot of input from NCWest).  Next year looks to be even more intense with the release of GW2, STO, and SWToR.
