That fire effect looks horrible. I hope it looks better in-game. CoH has better fire effects and it's 5 years old. eek... |

Sigh... people should be forced to add an "imo" to the end of every one of their posts on these forums. The trite opinions expressed here can wear on a person's soul. |

Nice screens.. Character models are interesting... The only thing I don't really like about those are the 3 screens with one of the character holding a gun (in one case, it looks like a AK-47 and the others, a mini-uzi) which is throwing some kind of ice ray... Kinda turn me off on that one... |

Its SOE so think of the best SOE game out there today and DC might be a little better. By the way what is the best SOE game out there today you think to compare DC with, not excact comparison just a general feeling. thanks. by the way CO launch had its problems the first day but after they released the client patch without having to use their joke of an installer it worked fine. If and Big "IF' after installing the new client your computer was restarted to kick all the old co files out of mem. That was lack of communication from CO. Fortunately the kind people in forums would share their remidies and fixes. I can not comment on CO or almost any mmo till lvl 20+ is reached. Some do kick ass right away but some are graphics impressions while your still playing whack a mole or mob or squirrel grinding up to run to trainer hoping for something cool. IMO gameplay holds my attention, graphics and cool dungeons for some but gameplay for others. Both would be nice. This post is intentionally written not to make any sense what so ever. Thank You Very Much. |

Champions Online is not launched, it is still in Open Beta, the official launch is Sept 1st.
Eventhough they had issues with their patcher and the files that Fileplanet had, they stayed online all night (Devs were speaking to us testers) and they fixed the issue with the patcher and created 2 work arounds within a day. |

honestly it would be hard to tell the screens apart from champions(aside from the one with batman obviously, and the fire storm looking one) |

I like the way Star Labs looks. Good stuff. I may attempt a trial of this when one is available. What Happened With SWG Went Down YEARS AGO! Please Try To Stop Whining About It In Every Thread I Read. Mourn It, And Finally MOVE ON With Your Lives! Thanks A Heap. |

Fulmillment of desire is an illusion. Desire leads to more desire, not to satisfaction. |

I think the screenies look cool. A bit sharper than CO, I may say. But why is Batman in grey? Isn't Batman's costume black?? |

It doesn't matter how efficeint they are at fixing bugs and addressing issues that could potentially keep paying customers from playing a game they are paying for, in the future. The gameplay is what matters and COs gameplay just isn't there. It's not fun and it's too darn repetitive. Not only that, but I've been playing the game since Oct 2008 and in the face of piles and piles of negative feedback the developers won't let go of the one thing that their whole game revolves around... the combat. The combat mechanics are horrible. It's not an action-RPG by any stretch of the word. DCUO's gameplay is physics based and much closer to an action RPG. I'm not saying that Cryptic can't make a good game or won't. I'm saying that in Champions Online they have most certainly not done so. |

And that is fine if that is your opinion. Champions just may not be the game for you, I for one actually like the combat and its refreshing from the current standard MMO combat systems. And it does matter how efficient they are fixing bugs and addressing issues. That says alot about the Devs if they dedicate that time to fix issues with the game. At least they are doing that and doing it quickly because some other MMO companies dont do that. If you dont find the combat system fun and want Cryptic to change it, highly doubt that they will change it because that is a Huge feature of their game. Its foolish to expect them to change that |
