I had to do it guys, I had to see what Mythic changed since the last time I played. I recieved a mail saying mythic offered 10 day re-enlist trails. I took the bait today, I know WAR is a themepark and I know the stability of this game is ass but I just needed to see for myself. Considering I disagree with near everything other mmorpg.com community members say when it comes to MMOs I have to check it out. I did the same with WoW recently and lasted near thirty minutes in game before closing it down in disgust. Well Here we go, got a transfer to Badlands for my Destro characters and I'm off to see if the game is worth playing. Last time I left was due to population during off hours, I had virtually no problems with the game besides that so if enough people are playing WAR on Badlands I may have a good experience. I just read the Endgame siege and keep changes and Since i've been away Mythic has release a decent amount of shit. I'll let you know how it goes. Before you say anything I already know "WAR is a Failure" yadda yadda yadda. DAY1 Update 1: Jesus christ!!!!! a 1.6 gig patch? I did not expect Mythic to add that much since I last played. ill check back in once I get this all downloaded and DL my addons. Update 2: Got onto Badlands today, tier 3 was empty, no ORvR. got into two Scenarios within two hours and was steam rolled by the Order (something that didn't happen when I played on Iron fist). The game still stutters like a bitch and I'm regretting not transfering my character to a more destro heavy server. My next update coming soon. Update 3: Decided to stick with the server. During prime time the server isn;t bad Scenarios pop every 5-15 minutes (destro actually won a couple) and I've been involved in two Orvr keep sieges (one failure, One capture and a couple Objective defenses). PQs are empty however and I still find the crafting system to be next to worthless. Update 4: seems to be a massive Siege going on in T4 that's keeping this increadibly top heavy game busy. Noones playing Alts so virtually all of T2 and 3 are empty with t1 being the exception due to trials. Decided to use my T1 Blackguard and finish off the night with a handfull of PQs and SC's. Not a very good first day so far tbh. The lack of players at mid tiers and lack of players during off hours is still killing the experience and that's why I left the first time. Ill keep you posted. DAY 2 Update 5: Only able to play around two hours today due to RL. Ran a couple SC's with my Shaman (t3) and Sorc (T2) Actually won the SC's and the SC's didn;t take long to pop. T3 and T2 quest hubs were empty and only one PQ had a group in it. I joined them and actually finished a PQ. Did the most damage in the group still had a terrible roll for Bag loot (guess its still randomBS). Was told the Trail players and a few others from other servers (since their servers were down)were doing heavy Orvr in T1. So I logged into my Blackguard getting ready for some rvr then the server died and wouldn't let me back on. will have more tommorow.

Goto a more heavily populated server... Try Gorfang or Dark Crag... |

When I played Dark Crag was the most popular server and I still had the same problems there/ |

I only had three options to choose from since my characters were on a Core server. I picked Badlands randomly tbh, I figured if they only had three core servers left I couldn't make a bad choice lol. Playing on Dark Crag with the best order, raping everything, magneting my way to threw everything and suffering threw that dreadfull buggy endgame... couldnt save this game for me. I was supposed to be having the most fun, isnt going 20-0 in the sc/bg's supposed to be fun? Even that got boring. Log on... Whisper "nigshank" to an officer Join WB/Raid Run from point to point collecting RR while staying Q'd up in an EM group GG, yawn log off... |
