Yeah, CBT comes out this friday so Im pretty much excited for this game, Im sure its probably not as polished as Aion but it should be fun anyways

Nothing to do with Aion. Aion, a release using an old engine from 2004 (Cry Engine 1 from Farcry), with poor textures and awful vertex. God, how can they even think to pay to play such a bad game ?!!! Aion sux. It's even worse then Lineage... But hell yeah ! Better Aion than WoW-for-dumb-kiddies, heh ! Karos has a NHN engine, and you have to learn that their engines are really good. Look at Continent of the Ninth, or Tera Online. Karos is one of the first in the next-gen MMORPGs. |

The battle system in the game is incredible and recognizable...the animations are incredibly fluid and well done. The emotes are also well animated. Saying Aion "sux" is like saying runescape is the best looking mmo in the world! clearly your out of your mnid..."first next-gen MMO" he says! HA! //////////// |

biggest aion fanboi ever? aion isn't that special, the repetative quests and typical everything else aside from flying and yes, they do have an amazing custom characterization... aside from that, its w/e honestly, you sound like your in bed with the producers of aion, relax man, no ones trying to bend you over in a jail cell Playing: LFD2 |

I like Aion, especially the art style. But honestly i spent more time last Aion beta reinstalling LOTRO than i did in beta. Karos might be a good second game for me. Gonna check it out. It has to be true, i have internet links. |

What does that have to do with it? You know you can't because it's proprietary. They'd get sued, marvel already went through that with CoH. Besides, try making a taru-taru or maybe a froglok, or the Lichking? Huh? What? You can't?! But aren't they all from the same fantasy-based genre ?! Why not orcs? Oh ! What a nice and arrogant child, yeah a child, even if you are 29 years old. I don't like this but I'm gonna reply to you point after point, even if your beloved Aion is not worth it anyway.
1/ If you had known anything related to gaming, game engines, and D3D coding, you'd have known what you say is just ridiculous and not an argument. As I said, Aion engine is Farcry's one. This engine was released in 2003 and Farcry went out just a year after. DO NOT compare a 2004 engine with a 2008 engine ! For your information, CryEngine 1 was developed with directx 9.0b libraries, and even if it supports shaders model 3.0 and blending, it's an engine for the old Nvidia GeForce 3 series... Oh yes, it has been heavily modifyied by the Dev Dept Team from NCSoft, but a core stays a core. And the final verrsion of Aion's engine came out around half-2005. Preview of playable Aion in May 2006 at E3. Pretty old... You want precise details ? No problem. Technically, so that you won't say it's hardware-related, I use 2 BFG GTX 280 OCX in SLI mode on a 23' screen, all settings to highest, 1600*1200*32. No lag, no drop of FPS. Get into Aion, and have a look at ground textures. They are just awfully blurry. Look at the sky textures. The guy that made the sky box for Aion should be killed. Vegetation is 2d-static tex. Collisions on characters don't even exist, arms gettings through corpse, hands going through weapons, and you can see guys stucked in rocks and walls around town. And these are not only graphic bugs. These are ENGINE errors. The Karos Engine, Continent of the Ninth, or even Tera just cannot be graphically compared to Aion. Sorry to teach you such an evidence.
2/ Yeah I tryied Aion. I'm part of the beta phase, and played every week-end when servers were online. Without talking about graphics, there's nothing new in gameplay. Nothing. Oh yeah, the wings... Hell yeah, nothing new, even kids on WoW can fly. And those 5 € were really not worth it. Anyway. Your question is answered. You're false.

4/ Where have you seen I said that Karos was the first next-gen MMORPG ? You should get back to some basic reading lessons. I said that Karos is "one of the firsts", what is true. And Age of Conan and LoTRo are graphically like the beginnings of next-gen MMOs, actually. But I tryied both and guess why servers are getting more empty every day... Graphics are good but gameplay is boring.

Try yourself to make Wolverine in Aion or AoC, it is not because you have 35 sliders for each part of your face that you can call it deep, at the end, it is you armor that people will recognise, not your face. |

Oh don't mistake what I am saying, I do not mind bodies piling up before you as you fight, I am a die-hard Mount and Blade player and piles of bodies on the walls of castles are a good thing - if done right. ^_^ But I guess what I am getting at is the flashy graphics and the need for all the flipping and flying stuff. Is that really necessary? I wish that one of these MMORPG makers would take the Mount and Blade style of combat and put it into their game. Seriously...until you've experienced a battle of hundreds - with archers, footmen, and knights all clashing together in a massive battle - nothing these MMORPG's that are currently on the market really impress me. Take a Kherg castle and then come talk to me. LOL! Archers for the win! So many arrows raining down from the walls...it's amazing anything survives to climb the ladders to get into the castle to fight. ^_^
