Geez.. you guys really amazing. I did like the game, just the weapons and armors are in my opinion [ and im entitled to it even if x or y doesnt like it ] badly done.

Its a phantasy game yes.. it is.. but looking to oversized and unbalanced weapons and masochist armors, kinda blows the immersion of the game pulling it towards the free 2 play eastern games wave wich share the same looks etc.

I really doubt that will help Aion in the online market..

Two points. On your original post you state as if the idea of making the game more western like had to do with the graphics. That is a bit of a stretch. What game is going to revamp their graphics and art style just for a different region in that type of matter? That is a bit much of an overhaul, don't you think? So you can't hold that against NC Soft. Just your own personal interpetation of their meaning. Not theirs. Would be silly (and costly) for them to completely change their art style just for us.
 

As for stating weapons being unbalanced and oversized pulls it toward the eastern games...we really need to get off trying to make this distinction between east and west every time. As everyone said....WoW owns a market in unbalanced visuals and is it a eastern free 2 play MMO? No, of course not. Hell, you can dual wield two hand swords! Sorry but you don't get more unrealistic than that. Well...except maybe a freaking gnome dual wielding such weapons.

So no this game probably isn't for you. But expecting it be when you know specifically it was a Korean made product is more of your own fault than that of the developer. They can't tailor make their game for everyone. We as individuals are different from one side of this globe to the other. Someone is not going to like something. There are no ways around it. And honestly there are a lot of us in the western side of this globe that actually like this art style and find others that may be more realistic bland and boring.

You want a game, where there is an alien race, that after a predetermined series of events, becomes a winged higher elite race, whom all live in the shattered inner remains of an exploded planet...they should all have crap that looks like it came out of the dark ages of Europe.  Where everything was foot soldiers and mounted horse combat.

Aion doesn't take place on Earth.  Not sure if you're aware of that.  But I wouldn't be interested in it if it were just another high-fantasy game...which is what you're apparently looking for.

The game is great. Just because you don't like the armor and weapon designs doesn't mean u get to speak for the entire "Westerners" lol?

I live in the US and happen to enjoy the FANTASY that is in FANTASY GAMES. Maybe you should try another mmo instead of complaining about this one? Where does complaining get you anyway? If I don't like a game a just don't play it or comment on it. I MOVE ON.

I want to have a huge weapon and flashy animations because otherwise mmo's combat to me is just BORING.

AoC would be amazing [ again in my opinion ] if it wasnt so dam buggy and with a control system requiring 3 hands :]

On the other side.. Aion with Aoc looks would prolly be pretty amazing. Aion doesnt seem to be buggy, seems to run a solid easy to control game engine aswel.

I played LoTRO for a while and I hated how every weapon, even the legendary ones, looked so shitty and uninspired (yes, I'm aware of the lore limitations, you lore-nazis). I prefer the more epic/impressive art style for weapons/gear, especailly the higher level ones. If I cared about things like weight distribution and realism I'd probably put down the game and go outside. 

Personal taste.  I find the traditional style gets quite boring after awhile.

It really is all about personal taste. Take a look at many of the eastern MMO's. Compared to them, Aions weapons are small and already westernized lol. Now, if you want to complain about graphics, Go look at Champions Online. That is the very first game ever, for me, that graphics style forced me to never play it again. I am all for a cartoon look, but that is by far the worst style I have ever saw in my life. I still thank the gods that I didn't buy that lifetime membership and I feel for those that did.
