Yes, I would trust Blizzard even in another MMO. WoW, besides being successful, turned out to be quite fun for me until end game... They created a new basis for many other MMOs. Perhaps in their new game they'll improve the systems and the weaknesses that WoW put together. |

If its the later it will be going up against the the likes of the starwars mmo in that genre . of course theres nothing to say a star wars game is going to be good but if it is it has a far larger possible fan base than even wow . Personally i doubt they do a repeat of WoW in that whatever they produce next will be a little more mature and more difficult in content . It would be silly for Blizzard to produce a second mmo aimed at such a young player base as WoW now is . I m not saying theres nothing there for adults but generally speaking this game is not aimed at people 18 + anymore . |

i still trust blizzard. i still dont consider wow a failure. remember that they have 3 very popular games and only developed one which is warcraft...other studios have more misses and than hits. considering the success ratio of the games they created, i still trust them to not fail :D |

Blizzard's made plenty of mistakes with WoW but they've done a lot of good stuff too. Do I like how they have handled the PvE? Yes it's fine. I don't do PvE other than the levelling process but from all accounts they do a great job with it. Do I like the PvP? Yes and no. BG's are fun, Arena is an absolute pile of crap, world pvp is non-existent. Wintergrasp is fun but not the epic world-pvp encounter I'm craving for. Hell WG isn't pvp, it's Vehicle v Player, just a distraction. Do I trust them to get the pvp right next time? 90% sure. A lot of the problems which forced them to disuade us from World PvP were due to the core coding of the game and the server technology available. Technology has moved on and given the stakes they are playing for I'm sure they will give us what we want and design pvp more fully in to the next MMO. The other aspect of it they got tragically wrong (and continue to do so) is only having the top-end awards through Arena for pvp'ers. Hopefully they will see the error of the ways in marginalising such a large section of the community and making them play a niche aspect of the game, that most don't even like, to progress in an alternate way to PvE. I'm sure they could think up a way to reward skill in BG's if they had choosen to, so I can only assume they think they have it right. Which is why I'm only 90% sure they will get it right next time. One thing I don't like with WoW is how they broke down the walls between the factions. I liked Pali's being unique to Alliance - likewise with Shammies. I liked Horde being the ugly but cool race but they brought in blood elves and killed that. On the whole this seems like a negative post, but it shouldn't be. I've played WoW on and off since launch and it's proven its metal time and time again and seen off all-comers. It's the game I always end up coming back to. So I'm pretty sure the next MMO will be something special. Maybe not 5 years of subs special but still prettty good. _________________________________________ |

Yeah this post is beyond me as well I grew tired of the game and its direction but it is simply that I had outgrown it and the direction the game went in, I am a more traditional rpg player in that roleplaying is more important to me than pvp or even gear for that matter but I don't think they ever lied to me what they said they'd do they have done (I just couldn't care less about what they've done). And with so many companies heaping questionable releases on us I think there are companies we are much better served reserving our mistrust for. |

Originally posted by Zorndorf It is even worse. Only 0.06% of the Raiders achieved the hardest achievement in the Ulduar Raid. That's an average of 1 guild for ... every 5 to 6 servers. 1 Guild of around 30 players out of 60.000 players. ------ So people here in this forum thread stating they don't like Wow because it has no challenge ... clearly have no clue what happens in the game. ---- As for PvP: Try getting Deadly Gladiator title achievement;: that's 3 people out of .... 200.000 (tx to the 20 clustered PvP competition). Now that is what I would call a challenge instead of standing anonymous in the crowd of meaningless "crowd" world pvp. That's unique PvP heroism. Yeah: talking of a challenge. i m not familiar with the drops that can be achieved in the hardest part of an udluar raid they should be whar rare were to epics a few years ago . also the pvp is so unbalanced in wow it really depends on the classes you play in the arena as to how well you do . although i think blizzard got the 3 vs 3 right . :) . i actually still think theres a listening ear in that company thats not been deafend to fanbois praise . its a good thing too they will need it in the coming years . warcraft need to offer more challenges than just the two you have mentioned . it needs to be across the board at all levels and in all aspect of the gameplay not just confined to the odd end game boss and arenas . |

Sure I trust Blizzard. I like the game. Is it perfect...no. There is no perfect MMO, nor will there ever be. As far as cranking out new "good" content, you cannot beat Blizzard. And, as far as bugs go, Blizzard has the most bug free MMO that I know of...especially for its vastness.
Calm down...it's beta. These things are supposed to happen in beta. |

Totally right. I didn't want to reply to a reply to my post, but not everything in WOW is good for us all. I don't do PvP and I can't do PvP, it just rattles me. The dailies are the most tedious horrible thing I have ever come across. I have done all the titles I could be bothered to do, and I did them twice for both my decent level 80 chars. The Exalted with, the Ambassador, The Argent Champion, Diplomat, Explorer. All done twice. Went through many many quests, again twice. Cooking, first aid, blah, blah, blah. I've no need to tell you how and what goes on. What I'm saying is, once you've time synced your butt off for a few weeks you simply can not just keep doing it in order to find something in game to do. I got to the stage a few weeks back where I only logged on to raid, and do my CD's. The guild master got sh1tty on with me so I gave her a few choice words, /gquit and have not been on since.
If Blizz can make a game to keep me happy for half the amount of time I spent in WOW, I'll be happy to buy and play it. It must be very difficult to keep so many people happy all the time. I would suggest that it is not even possible.
