Holy crap that is sick. I look forward to seeing how they blend the communities, and this game is right up my alley. Here is a Twitter log from someone there: #EVE now almost full democracy - Council of Stellar Management representatives are player-chosen in an election #ooh ooh ooh - video announcement! |

I don't play consoles, so this isn't for me, but I still think it's brilliant.
Do the same thing, but with a mouse and keyboard please. |

Yeah if it ain't on the PC then whocares? FPS plays like crap without Keyboard and mouse. |

eh i dunno about this. I like and play eve but .... this game would have to have some badass gameplay and be worth the buy to compete with every other FPS on the market. I also hope there isn't a monthly fee (over 5$). I mean for eve players, they already pay 15, 30, 45$ a month just for eve .... too add another 15$ for this game monthly i think would be stretching it. Waiting for the video to stream now, so i hope it turns out to be something popular to take advantage of the large universe. |

i'm currios if the action of player playng 514 wiil infuence eve online and vice versa, this is a huge step towards walking on planets/stations, who nows maybe someday you will be able to raid a ship or something like that, blend space sim with fps, would be interesting to see what happens. I'l surelly keep my eye on this project. __________________________________ Remember the good old days when devs made games just for the sake of making a great game? As a huge fan of PlanetSide, I am disappointed they chose to make this only for consoles. Oh well. |

Love is benevolent evil. It is the sweet plague that devours reason, leaving euphoria in its place. |
This isn't WoD Online, ergo, something that is not newsworthy from CCP. |

Not exactly, but it does tell us what CCP Shanghai has been working on for the last couple of years. As we already know what CCP Reykjavik is working on it brings some spekulation to CCP Atlanta might pull out of the hat in the near future. |

So I will be able to nuke console players from orbit? sounds good... |

Not surprising to see negative feedback on this forum. I think its a great idea. I'll play it, and I don't play EVE. FPS generally have no "point". This gives the game a reason. |

Exactly. What makes a FPS interesting is not how fancy the graphics are or how many weapons you can wield but what the point behind the figthing is (in my opinion of course). |

This is a stupid idea, why not just release the full Eve MMO on consoles? What the hell is wrong with developers, there is a whole untapped market (consoles) and no one is trying to capture it. Dumb move by CCP to waste money on this crap. |

This is a brilliant idea! I am in. Is it for the PS3 or the 360. Hey the PS3 slim will be 299.00/ |

Both the PS3 and 360 and probably also for the PC since they didnt officially say PC platform was ruled out. Playing: EvE, Ryzom |

Originally posted by Dreizack I guess they wanted more of an action feel to the game. You know most people have the attention span of squirrels, so EVE immediately comes across as boring. Console players are even worse - they'd drop the game without even finishing the tutorial. I'm interested to see how this turns out. How they're connecting it to EVE is very cool. |

You are right about that, I doubt a Halo/GoW player would get past the opening credits of EvE Online. |

Leave it to the people of this community to INSTANTLY find something wrong with this idea. *roll* IMO, this is incredible. An FPS console MMO that interacts with a ship-based space PC MMO, where the actions of both affect one another. This is a -first- in innovation, and it seems to me like the people who are ALREADY talking crap about it are simply complaining because it's not the game -they- wanted, and is instead something way cooler. Honestly, I am looking forward to this project WAY more than a World of Darkness MMO. FPS games play great on consoles - CoD and the Halo series are excellent examples of console FPS games done right, and both were way better on console than PC IMO, and I have been a PC gamer for way longer than I've been a console gamer. That's beside the point.. pay attention people. A stand-alone MMO game on one platform that interacts with another stand-alone MMO game on a different platform. It is its own game that continually evolves and changes with or without EVE. This kind of thinking is what the MMO genre NEEDS. CCP is going to be a TITAN in the industry in a few years (as if they haven't already made a big impression). Like their game or hate it, it is impossible to deny their passion for games or their innovation. |

Brilliant of course; I have no doubt that CCP will make it A+ all the way. Now if only we could get them to move a little faster on that World of Darkness MMO... |

Incredible concept, looking forward more info :) Wasn't expecting planets to play a role so soon, and didn't expect anything close to a whole new game within this true sandbox. |

Depending on how this is done....
This could be very, very awesome. I just started playing EvE recently and like it quite a bit. I will be looking forward to further news on this game. These three things doth a wise man fear: A storm at sea, a moonless night, and the anger of a gentle man |
