Do you mind to share with us how did you figure this out? |

You guys are being babies. CCP hasn't said anything about how the games will interact, so there's no point in wailing and gnashing your teeth over the unknown. Maybe the level of interaction will be as simple as downloading the soverignty data to decide which planet surfaces can be used by which factions in the "new" game. Maybe ground wars will decide who owns a planet.... Maybe you'll have to buy gear from the regional markets in EVE. Maybe it's just that every time a Gallente gets shot on an Amarr planet, another Exotic Dancer gets generated as loot in your EVE mission. It looks sharp. I hope they do well, as it would nice to see something a little different in the incredibly boring FPS market, and more money in the coffers means improvements for ALL their products.

This could well be the Planetside replacement I've waited so long for. |

I can't even describe the anger I have that Console gamers get the experience exclusively. I don't mind it being for the console but don't keep out the pc gamers, especially when microsoft make it so easy to have both a 360 and pc version. |

True, the thing is what they could really do is make a game that works perfect between consoles and PC........but NO that would be to innovative. The only want innovation when they can fu*" an entire market over. |

Calm down, have some dip. Besides, how can you not afford a console? Are you so strapped for cash that you can't get a job, save a couple of hundred dollars, and purchase a 360? I got mine for around $200, and that's while not even having a job, but instead raising money from cans and various other odd jobs, and you're telling me you can't do better than me? But, then again, something tells me you're not old enough to have a job... If CCP were truly screwing PC players over, they'd close EVE Online for the PC, and instead concentrate solely on the console version. Instead, they're making versions for both games. Who says that CCP is only allowed to concentrate on PC games? Who are you to say "Don't even THINK about expanding your business! I'm a subscriber, dammit, and you have to do exactly what I want!" Yeah... something tells me they don't give a damn what you think... every commercial business's foremost thought is making money. If that means trying to cater to console players by giving them the chance of having their own version of EVE Online, then so be it. Not every console game has to also be on the PC, even from a company that's expanding from the PC market. Also, you seem to be conveniently ignoring the fact that Petursson didn't exactly rule out a PC version, just they're doing a console version for the time being. For someone who doesn't know a damn thing about what the game is going to have as its connectivity, you sure are assuming a lot. You need to calm down. You're giving PC players a bad look. Why don't you go play with your coloring book? |

Another one who can't read...Why do you bother posting? |

I think that we are dealing with a troll with alts, but whatever. Don't feed the trolls and they won't multiply. One thing that did make me sad was... no news on World of Darkness. I am really looking forward to that too. |

I think they mean specifics, which we currently have none of, they have said the games will interact but in any real form no.

I do have a job and get paid a rather good amount of money. But have you ever heard of something called principles?
Example: The Game Convention this year is in cologne, but do you know where it was before? Right, Leipzig now see the thing is. Leipzig paid a lot of money and took a huge risk starting the Game Convention. Now that it is a success and it's starts to make money they went to cologne (or Köln as any non ignorant people call it.)
Replace Leipzig with PC and Cologne with Console and you get the idea. |

It's also tied in with EVE. Sovereign is based on corps how much they own in a system. Dust 514 planets/battlefields will dictate who controls specific districts in a planet. If a player group owns more of a planet then it ties in with the Sovereign system. The communities are being brought together and they hope they will meld over time. Corporations can form alliances with groups in the FPS that fight together to control a system or part of the universe where there can be a fleet to maintain control in EVE and a group to maintain control in Dust 514. Last part of this video I think around 3:30. This is a really cool idea from my point of view. Corporations can form FPS counter parts and that adds a layer of strategy. I will definitely be forming a squad in the FPS version and joining or forming an alliance with an EVE corporation. I think it adds a great deal of depth to what corporations can do in EVE and Dust 514 combined. |

When all is said and done, I can only say that I am glad that I killed my Eve account after over four years. A game that was originally a fun sandbox, has become just like any other game. This news fits in with comments from GMs and the like from Eve; reflecting their overall stance toward their playerbase. One might begin to wonder if Ghostcrawler and Kalgan were not moonlighting on the side... |

Since I own an xbox 360 i'll definetly be playing this game. Cant wait to to see more info. i love the eve universe. |

Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path. |
Seriously people, stop throwing tantrums until you get more info. the FF14 people were freaking out too, thinking the game wasn't gonna be on PC and were proved wrong, so maybe its the same deal. We are all ignorant until truth is revealed to us.. However.. How do we know the truth is not in fact a lie.. "When a man has lost everything, he may despair and die. He might give his soul to the fate's... or, he can resolve to take action." "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

Guys! look at the big picture here. This is CCP, Besides EvE they're developing two games Dust 514 and WoD. Think about it for a second, Why would they not give PC gamers this game? Because when CCP releases planetary exploration with this FPS games mechanics within eve they don;t want the "console" game to compete against it's own MMO on the PC platform. The console gamers will get this Fps game but the PC gamers will get the FPS game within Eve online. the next 3+ years in Eve's life is going to be freaking amazing.

You're getting hung up over principles? Just buy a console already, if you don't have one already, and just play the game. If you care enough about CCP and EVE Online, you'll support their venture by paying them back for taking it in the first place. They're probably spending a lot of money to bring it over to consoles, and hoping to expand their fan base enough that they can probably get more subscribers on the PC. Isn't that what they should be doing, instead of just catering to their pre-existing fan base on the PC? Or do you want them to remain relatively small-time? Besides, as I said, they're not ditching their fan base on the PC. They're just trying to cater to console players. Once again, they do not have to be exclusive the PC crowd, and one way they can appeal more to the console crowd is by giving them a console-exclusive experience, instead of half-assing it with a multi-platform approach. |

HOLD THE PHONE! Check out the trailer here: www.golem.de/0908/69136.html Notice at the start they are on a station looking out a window at a planet. I wonder how this ties in with the game and with EVE. It may be something simple, or it could be something pretty slick. |

Anyways, they're probably trying to give console players a more personal experience with the game, instead of going with a more macro approach to it. Kind of like C&C: Renegade, but without the utter crap. |
