A real gamer is someone who can smoke fools on PC and Console since they are two completely different skillsets outside of map knowledge.

If you are to ignorant to see that console and pc FPS's are two completely different skillsets to master and are both fun then it is only your loss. |

Wow people should quit their whining and look at what this game actually is offering.
How many times has this been done ever?
Exactly it hasnt! This is the first time anyone is going to make a PC MMO and a Console MMO interact directly with each other. Its revolutionary already and all people can talk about it "O man I wont get to play it on my 2k PC!!".

Oh on a note, anyong who thinks that FPS aren't good on a console isn't a real gamer. A real gamer is someone who can smoke fools on PC and Console since they are two completely different skillsets outside of map knowledge. The only other reason I could see them doing it is because There is no fair fight in a console user going up against someone who uses a mouse and keyboard. The one thing that is great about consoles is everyone uses the same hardware. I still think there is not a good enough reason to not make a PC version, CCP could simply separate the consoles from the PC's on different servers. PC's have proven themselves far more than consoles have at sustaining a community. |

they dont release on the pc because its easy to crack and people will download it 100x times then they will on the consoles but people who got a chipped flashed 360 will do it anyways i wont waste money on this tho saving for the new avp game that will be 1000 times more awesome |

I think they have bigger plans than just Dust 514 and EVE. I have a feeling there will be more coming to the PC in terms of Ambulation and the interfacing with planets. CCP has proven itself with EVE so let's give them the benefit of the doubt and see where they take their IP. I am really excited about what they are doing. |

And for the record, not every PC gamer is rich or has a 2k rig. I spend 600 bucks every 2 years and I can play pretty much every game just fine. |

Originally posted by Raizeen that is why the PC market like to make MMO's, because you can't crack them. You have to have a membership and pay a monthly fee. This is being designed as an MMO so that is not an issue. I don't even know how much hacking the game would effect gameplay because Hacking is very hard to do on a MMO. It not like you hack and get banned from a server you just go to a different server. If you get banned you get banned from the game forever unless you purchase a new account. |

Originally posted by Lumster I am an EVE player of the first hour. I am an EVE fan. I own a x360 and a PS3. I don't feel like being kicked in the face. CCP is a professional company that makes its own desicions. I won't blame them for it, just as they won't blame me for not buying one of their products. ============================================================ Nobody is useless, he/she can still be used as a bad example. |

Honestly, making 0.0 sovereignty influenced by a console ONLY MMOFPS makes me feel violated, this pretty much reminds me of the CU-NGE and TOA-NF. With ToA, Mythic said, that the PVE items would only have a small impact on the RvR game, we all know how that turned out ( at least the DAoC vets do :p ), DAoC started dying slowly after that and the New Frontiers, another major change to the game. The NGE was different, it did not kill SWG slowly, but instantly, and they knew beforehand they were screwing over the vets. EVE Online should have gotten this as an expansion on the core game, not some external console game, I mean wth? So I think this will be CCP's very own CU-NGE or ToA-NF

Well lets see here, I got my computer for 2k 4 years ago, and it still plays every game on the market. In two years it will still play every game on the market, and guess how much you will have spent? 2k!
And who cares if You can play it. God what a mook this guy is huh? |

Another over reaction. These are stand alone games that were completely altered and changed dramatically. This is simply a new game where the two games tie in influence through some way of which we are unclear. I doubt they will let the console only game affect their PC MMO in any kind of drastic way. Just give them a chance... |

Your telling me EvE fans can collaborate and work with hundreds of people with an in game corporation, but they cant get on AOL instant messager for 5 seconds to tell someone "Hey go take back this planet with your guys".
What a farce this EvE online is becoming, if its players are so against change and innovation.

Wow you are cute, value doesn't add if you replace the parts. And you only value what its worth right now. My comp is worth like 400-500 dollars at MAX. Seriously common sense is not your strength...... |

You do realise that it will directly influence the current EVE Online game right? So we can't participate, it will influence us ( the EVE Online players ) and we should not fear the changes it will bring?

They have even tied in EVE with an iPhone app. I am sure they could do some really creative stuff with the social networking to allow communication between EVE and Dust 514 players. |

The influence may only be tied into new systems that won't affect the current game. You are making negative assumptions and we are thinking about how great this could be. I guess there isn't much difference between us besides you are negative and we are positive. |

Dude you need to calm down. We don't know hardly any details, we don't know what is in store for EVE on the PC, we don't know how much these two titles will tie in together, and we don't know why dude man gave a interesting smile with the PC question. Just relax and let's see what happens. Some of us can be excited about a new game can't we? |

Exactly, how cool would it be to get "Wired ISK" while on the battlefield to buy a new round of weapons or armor. If the corps dont want to pay up then you just say screw it. Im sure people will go "Yea but what if they just leave with the ISK?" MAke it so the only benefit the ISK gives them is on the battlefield. Then why would someone who plays the game not want to use the money? They want to play the game, you help them play with your money. Then they keep your planets safe and on your side.

I would be excited too, it sounds really good so far......
But again, why should I care? I wont be playing it, and that is not because I don't want to. |

Looks like none of you bother to watch the video linked in the source. ---------- "No, your wrong.." - Random user #123 "Hello person posting on a site specifically for MMO's in a thread on a sub forum specifically for a particular game talking about meta features and making comparisons to other titles in the genre, and their meta features.
