This thread is proof that WOW haters, the majority of which have no clue about game development and how to run a game, are never happy and will never be happy with ANY decision Blizzard makes.

For months, they complain - "Blizzard needs to revamp the old content".

Now its - "Blizzard is revamping the old content - they ran out of ideas and are lazy".

See, never happy.

This is clearly for fun and as others have said, it is going to give many new players the chance to do one of the hardest, most exciting and crazy fights in all of WOW.

Any player who joined after the BC launch, probably has not done Onyxia at the level it was designed for. This is their chance.

Many old school players, who remember this fight and would like to experience it again and yet another chance to scream "MORE DOTS!!!!" again, are going to relish the opportunity.

Overall it is a win-win for Blizzard and anyone but the most hardcore and blinded hater will see that. Of course they hate anything Blizzard does and will never play WOW again so honestly, it doesn't matter what they think.

You only need to look at the active players of WOW to know they are extremely happy with revisiting the old Lady once again.

Onyxia is a legend in World of Warcraft and it is one of the symbols of the most popular MMORPG ever.

Blizzard doesn't listen to the frustrated haters of the game (because it simply has dwarfed every other mmorpg on this planet).

Blizzard delivers excellent game experiences, I am sorry the burnt out players are NO reference.

WIN WIN for Blizzard and its huge number of WOW fans.

LOSS LOSS for the frustrated or burnt out haters.

One of the reasons I left was because the lower areas were being largely ignored... but I not going back, too little, too late.

I hear this kind of response a lot from MMOG gamers across many games. Why is it too little, too late? What's stopping you from going back? Is it another game? I'm genuinely curious.

Personally, if I leave a game for X reason, and they address the issues I had, even after a length of time, I'd still come back and check it out. For me the question is, "Why not?" rather than "Why?"

I don't know yet if I'm going to get back into WoW... I recently stopped playing and feel fine about it.  I've been playing since about 6 months after release, but I've always been kinda slow at these games, and enjoy them in my own personal way.  So by the time I finally reached 60 and started working on another character, BC came out, so I never really got a chance to experience all the pre-BC raids, which sucked because I always wanted to, but, as I said, I have a "problem" with taking my time, but I take a little TOO much time. lol  So that being said, I'm actually a bit happy about this.  I'll probably sub up again for a few months to try this out. :)

Why is it that people skip over this part "Onyxia returns to commemorate World of Warcraft’s five-year anniversary" and immediately go on the attack?

People have been saying for a while that Blizzard "throws away" old content in favor of new content so to celebrate the 5 year anniversary they bring back a classic raid. Yet they are met with outcries of being "lazy" and "recycling" because they have run out of ideas.

This is why developers dont listen to forums, you keep sending mixed messages. You say you want something and then when you get it, you complain.

Its just the same WoW haters that always troll these forums. They have been pissed for years that WoW is so popular and drains population from other games and will look for any excuse to badmouth it.

However, it would seem they are by far the vocal minority.

Unlike you im not willing to settle for half assed content..

Well besides a few mmo's out there no one has better content that WoW has thus far delivered

Of course it would be great to re-visit many places of Azeroth revamped, but selling Onyxia with 80s-loot as new content is slighly beside what people meant with "make Azeroth worthwhile again".

read the expansion leak. it should be legit this same thing happend for both bc and lich

Same content for the same niche market of raiders who have always gotten the main focus of Kaplan's and Chilton's attention .  Tthis is where they put their effort and I don't subsidize raiders anymore.   When Blizzard wants to pay attention to their real playerbase, maybe I'll think about coming back.
