My little thoughts about it:

- AION is a fresh tittle and is #3 in here, mmorpg.com, the #1 and #2 are a "holywood" titles and a very allready know mmo names. Ppl hype just because the names.

- U see a "war" between lovers and haters around foruns, thats a result of a great tittle.

- Its going to be lunch in NA/EU after 10 months realesed in Korea, 5 months after China, and still call a lot of interest.

- Will be a new experience of community, some from grinding type game and some from quest type game.

- Will have a lot of pvp gamers type.

- Will have a lot of pve gamers type (after 1.5, our realese)

. In the end, AION is a Hybrid... great for a lot of type of gamers, is allreay a winner  :)

Ive been having a lot of fun in beta and look froward to the game as well. Time will tell but i too think the game will do well.

ur soo right! the PvP will be amazing. and so will the PvPvE. and i cant wait till the game either. its killing me!!

Wow, Darkfall must be the most successful MMO ever then.

I still havn't played Aion and have no opinion of if it is great or not yet but your points really proves nothing.

AoC and WAR also had the same flamewar but worse ealier here.

But I still fail to see the difference in your points from other games.

The number on this site before release is based on hopes, can it stay there 3 months after it is something worth mentioning but now it just proves people have hopes for the game.

And the mix of grinding and quests are not new either, EQ had the same thing 10 years ago.

No, none of your points prove anything about Aion, even though it is good for tha game that it have the buggs fixed by now. Most MMOs takes a long time ironing those out but the running of the asian servers should have straighten that out.

Con of Aion:
- The rabid, retarded fanboys who'll praise everything that exists in Aion as the most absolute demonstration of sheer brilliance, including the bad ideas and the poorly implemented ones.

Has alot of eploitable features * only no life are trying to exploited game, those who play for fun dont look for exploit. ( so if there sitll after all those patch some exploit than it will took time before normal player hear of it )
And the game will be lunched with and earlier patched as the korean game, so bug it will have.

It's a fun game, but it has serious flaws. I just don't think it's going to have long term success in the West. Launch numbers here will be similar to WAR and AoC and after six months, subscribers here will be somewhere between what WAR and AoC had at six months.

PvE players will be frustrated with the ganking. A lot of other players will be frustrated with the tiny game world. It will be a niche title in the West as a result.

This game is a botfest.

I don't know why people try so hard to make sure there's an ocean between pve and pvp.

Most people who play a game that offers both, play both.

I'm not some badass pvp'er (I prefer raids and pve) but pvp sure as hell is fun and I REALLY like the dynamic of it.

But since I prefer a 20+ man raid over a 3man arena type team (and don't nerd rage if I get stunned) I am considered pve.

Everyone talking about how watered down WoW is... Aion is a pickmeup for that by adding that PLAYER CHARACTER element into the pve scene, and those who prefer PVP > all, get their fill since there is a HUGE area based on that. In fact, the game is based on that. But PVP'ers (especially high end from what you people been posting) are farming PVE content to get better AP/gear based on their rank.

So not even PVP'ers can handle only PVP it seems.

lol i been waiting to play the beta or 2 week's so i'm really excited and 45mins to go woot woot i'm so tired of playing wow don't even log in it anymore

I stopped right there.   Yes, I've pre-ordered and played in the beta.

I do not understand the hype for Aion.   Can someone explain it to me?

It looks like the same old thing with flying.  Guess I do not get it.   I hope its a good game but all signs point to more of the same.  First few months it will thrive and then players will get bored and move on.
