It's very possible. Even I am in 1.2 Chinese version now and I enjoy the game a lot, but there is a posiblity here. After Honymoon period is over, peopel will start complaining. Look EVE online as crapy as it is, there are still people playing, even WAR still have a lot of followers. 1.3.1 seems will trun the game around, so you never know.
One thing for sure, it's the game will be polised and not too many bugs (at least low level area), just like FFXI. FFXI was in Japan for a year before imported into US. Aion has been in Korea a year? or almost a year, not 100% sure. |

this hardly deserves it's own thread, just get a pre order and make your choice. |

EVE is a fantastic game if you take the time to learn how to play it. Its learning curve is very steep though...

Who did wrong? The advertiser hired to sell the game or the consumer who put faith in advertising? |
Considering neither AoC or WAR have failed...I'm confused about your point...... You mean will Aion have 150 to 300k subs thus being an average mmo? Or do you mean that the mmo players who 'wish' that Aion will beat WoW in subs will fail in their attempt at predicting the future? |
|
The game didn't launch yet, so hard to tell. |

When I am crafting in Aion, I play EVE in the back ground. EVE is very easy, it did not take me long to learn it. Don't glorify the game. |

Its always hard to tell prior to a games release . The difference between Aion and AoC is that in beta it was obvious that it was nt going to be ready by the release date . The difference between Aion and Warhammer if that its not its not misconcieved . The only game i could liken it to before its release is Warcraft not specifically in terms of its gameplay but its a well developed game . Also the general buzz surrounding Aion really has nt been seen since WoW . It may not be something that appeals to the pve audiance and the lack of elves etc may not appeal . But most of us play games for the gameplay not what it looks like and whether it has certain races etc .Its proberbly not (but not definatly not) a WoW killer but its the closest thing to date . |

Answer: no Aion is already doing well elsewhere. So there is your answer. Easy question. Playing: Aion |

Originally posted by rr2real Warhammer has two "A"s. Age of Conan has two "A"s. World of Warcraft has two "A"s. Aion has one "A". See what I did there? Aion can't fail like WAR and AoC neither succeed like WoW! |

I guess it depends on your definition of fail. Based on what I would guess would be their business model the game is already a success. Aion is not being targetted towards the Western market like Warhammer and AoC were. Rather Aion's business model is likely much more like Lineage and FF11s business models where they make their money from the Asian market first and foremost and only add a little extra from the western market. With Aion's success in Asia already and the fickle nature of western PvP players the safest place to concentrate their energy is Asia with our market just being a small added profit. The question is will they support the game better in the western market than they did with L2? |

rr2real makes me LOL. NcSoft has perfected the paid for grindfest, and I am sad because of it :-( |

by beta testing it? jesus man do every future game a favor and never beta test. you do know what beta testing is right?.......TESTING an uncomplete game and making it better. if you judge a game by a beta test then....just quit. quit playing games all together. |

Well mr. troll, no. Zorgo's got it right. WAR didn't fail, AoC didn't fail, Aion won't fail. Aion already has a reported 3.5 million subs in other markets. Clearly you seem to think that a game only "passes" if it reaches 10 million subs. Only one game ever did this, thus it is comparitively an aberration. For you to think this, means you are either foolish and don't know the first thing about which you're talking, or a troll. Bring it on down now. |

Off topic, but was this graph made by a 12 year old? Unless you're involved in some advanced physics, time shouldn't depend on anything. |
