I have a lot of time on my hands (i.e. no life), and I've been looking for a new MMORPG to play. I'm done with WoW, ffxi and LOTRO, although I enjoyed all three for the months that I played them. Other games I have tried for less time and do not like include: Warhammer Onlne, Age of Conan, Eve Online, City of Heroes, DAOC. So, is there any MMORPG that you enjoy that I haven't tried yet and may be able fill my time enjoyably for a few months? Another MMO casualty. Played WoW, ffxi, WAR and LOTRO for months. Managed to play Aion for 2 weeks before having to be hospitalized for severe boredom. |

Sounds like you might want to give Everquest 2 a shot and see what you think. -------------------------------- |

After doing some research I've been looking into Aion, it's pretty good so far. The flight is really quite cool! |

EvE Online - A solid game with a lot of content which still gets new updates fairly frequently. If you hate PvP and/or do not want to get involved in the economy of the game then it will probably not hold your attention for more than a few months. Aion - This game is an option... unless you hate Korean style games. It will probably have an extensive cash shop and will also be very PvP centric. If that isn't an issue for you, then its pretty much the new Korean WoW. Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn't. MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |
Looks liek PVE is your thing. I would say take a look at Champions Online or AION for newer games. EQ2 for older, you may also want to relook at AoC |

I agree with the suggestion of EQ2. Since it's an older game, the population is very top-heavy, however. I'd suggest picking the Antonia Bayle server if you end up going that route. It's got the best population (although a relatively annoying community - a consequence of the population, I guess) and would be your best bet for finding players of the same level. It's got an enormous amount of content and is, in my opinion, the best PvE game out there. |

EQ and EQ2. Two totally separate style games. EQ2 reminds me of less fun version of WoW. The original EQ has the best raid content of any game imo. |

I'd suggest waiting for SWTOR. |

I recommend Darkfall if you like PVP. It is really so different than all the current crop of themepark MMOs and really should be tried by anyone sick of WOW-clone-itis. Good luck. |

A little off the beaten path but fun as hell...Ryzom. Not really like any of the others you liked and played..but why not? Fallen Earth open betas next week, you may want to check that out also. |

Good suggestions. I believe Aion will be pretty PvP centric but the AI controlled faction (Balor or something?) should provide some interesting PvE opportunities alongside that. I did some digging on the cash shop and I was told that there might be soome microtransactions, nothing is set in stone though and if there is anything it won't be a core part of the game. The Western release seems to be going in a different direction to the previous one. |
