its a great game, and i hope everyone that goes into open beta enjoys it as much as the closed beta testers have. |

That's pathetic, for a game which is releasing in 3 weeks - flat terrain with several square houses, looks like an alpha version of a 90's game, good luck to the devs, they will need it. |

I dare to predict FE the same future i predicted for TCOS: there won't be much left of it 1 year after release. On this market, there is just no money to be made for independent companies -moreso because most of their releases are rather B-class products (called "niche game" in common fanboy-terminology). No matter how much we hate it, the genre is getting hold in a headlock by the ritalin-kids bouncing on their seats in the basement and dictating the market with giving all their pocketmoney to the companies that develope the most trivial game including content to hit the lowest common denominator.

Not too shabby for an indie developer. Atleast we know it is going to be alot better than that Darkfall and Mortal Online nonsense. |

I was initially considering getting this game at release but I think I'll wait for a while... it just doesn't seem quite right. |

ah, it's a desert environment....the game takes place in the Grand Canyon area of the US. Granted it's not ALL flat, but what were you expecting, rolling green hills and a little elven village??
The environment in FE is both realistic and very well designed. You will find everything that you would expect to find in the real-world equivelent of that area of the map....though a bit decayed and worn down.

To gamers who have evolved past the use of terms like fanboy: Fallen Earth is pretty cool and challenging. Definitely not for players who like all gameplay elements to be easy. It's a "real" gamer's game. The developers also did a great job with the graphics, animations, and sounds. |

Hmm, might have to look up a bit more about this game, been looking for a somewhat 'dark' MMO for some time now. www.creative-inn.com |

Saying FE is challenging is a lie. Pure out lie. Open beta test it, uninstall it, move on. |

I get more interested in this game each day. For one, I refuse to play another game with gnomes and elves. Secondly, I love crafting and the economy of MMORPGs as much as the combat. Third, I started online playing Half Life and long for a FPS type game.
So should I pre-order or wait and see what the open beta looks like next week? Please advise. Trevor Goodchild - Traveler - Crafing/Pistols |

some of you said it looked impressive for a independant company well Mortal online is beeing developed by an independant company aswell at it looks 10 times better (just talking graphics now). I have no idea how fun neither of is tho so my statement is just in regards to the graphics. |

I think you will find after playing for more than 1 hour if your into games that require some thought like games in some years past did, and are not the "drag you by the nose here is the order you do things in", kind of game, than you most likely will like this one.. It converted me over to a believer as I played it and at first I had serious doubts, in fact almost didnt even bother to continue after playing it for the first 30 to 40 minutes, I guess for most of us we find it hard to break out of a rut that seems to have become the norm now in mordern MMO's when something different comes along we are quick to judge, I almost did on this one... Many like me who read these forums are starting to realize the best why to determine if a game fits you is to try it and not believe what someone else says here or anywhere else. In this case get into the open Beta and make your own mind up. Hopefully I see soem of you in game real soon.

its a wonderful game, a wonderful concept and the worst 2d graphics I have ever seen. How is that companies like Turbine can make LOTRO and other companies can actually move backwards? Cmon guys,, lets put some effort here and copy what others have done before us Shadowlord Sage Napa Valley, UO, 1997. |
