i will be tryin both, ive always got champions pre ordered. the customization itself is epic enough to draw me in for a month of dabbling and creating, makin an idea character pulling from virtually every powerset in the game? hell yea ill try some of that. but i wont knock either CO or DC, ill try them both out fairly before judging either, when it comes to mmos , or ne game really, i prefer to save final judgement for myself. but both look decent just from what bits ive seen so far, once both have been released and had the initial postlaunch bug patch fixes that almost if not all mmos go through we'll see how they both stand.

Waiting For: FF14,Guild Wars2

Both with feature RMT shops on top of subscriptions, so, pass on both.

Probably wont try either one.  I was gonna try DC, but I didnt know they both had shops on top of subscriptions until I read Xasapis' post, so pass.

I tried City of Heroes and it didnt apeal to me. To me all super hero games look and play the same to me.

So I have long time ago decided not to play any of those kind of game.

It seems for some players that items shops are creations of the devil whatever form the shops will have and most be avoided at all cost.

Others are more open minded.

I have decided.

I have decided I will not fall into the hype.

I have decided I will wait weeks after the release.

I have decided I will not allow them to fool me.

I have decided to avoid frustration.

So if after some weeks I start seing hacks and cheat videos on youtube for those games I know they suck.

I will wait to hear about its content, gameplay, balance, costumer support, server reliability.

In this time and age, and with has been shown already and based on the subjects involved... expect the worse.

What is their to decide??? DC online is still in Alpha testing, while CO comes out in less than a month.

That's amazing, since City of Heroes is the only Super Hero game out.

hehe, was thinking the same thing.

I plan on playing them both.  I mean comn?  There is probably going to be about a year between the releases.  Nothing has held my attention for that long anyway.

PLUS, factor in a TOR release about the same time as DCUO and you get DCUO really low on my radar.  Even though it has nothing to do with the game play of which is better CO or DCUO.

Say hello, To the things you've left behind. They are more a part of your life now that you can't touch them.

TOR will destroy a game that could be potentially played by millions on the PS3?  Unlikely

i saw some video showing melee blade class in DC and it sound boring unlike asassins creed, ninja gaiden and lineage 2. i like to play melee class.

i guess DC is out of my list and just have to wait for the champs and see how it is.

well one can hope that either game will be good, CoX certainly let me down with their everyones a clone of everyone else power sets that didnt feel super because low level cops with 9mm pistols took you down when you were a invincible super strength hulk (basically advertised like being the incredible hulk or superman if you went flight/jumping) but you died like a wuss to a medium sized crowd of thugs with puney guns.  hopefully champs/dc universe will actually make you feel super,  they can always inclue a weakness like supermans cryptonite and whatnot in the power sets to make sure you arent completely invincible, but who really wants to be a superheroe that cant take a punch from other supers let alone a crowd of lowly thugs.  even batman with his complete lack of any mutation/super power/genetic advantage could handle  a good deal of punishment with his costume/armor and gadgets.  i wont like either of these games if im just some joe blow shmuck in colored tights without a decent gimmick that makes me actually feel special.

DC i'll be keeping a close eye on, the idea interests me.  CoH/CoV the only power in the whole game i really like is flight.  I mean really no matter what you pick there will always be a clone of you.  I was in a hero Super group, and there were 3 other Controlers that had the same powers as me.

Never try to teach a pig to sing,it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Hoping DCUO doesn't suck as much as CO.  Otherwise it will be CoH for me.

Nearly two years of waiting, I have become utterly disappointed of Champions Online, nothing short of a miracle could save this game almost half a month away from release. With the advent of their lifetime subscription offer, that makes me very concerned. As Bill Roper + Lifetime Subscription so far means a death sentence for an MMO, as what happened with Hellgate: London. How many companies are going to let these clueless developers tarnish the reputation of their IP's?

I will play Champions for 3 reasons:

First and least I am an old player of the original Champions PnP game.

Second Champions are made by Cryptic, people who know what they are doing.

Third DC looks too much to me to be a sideshow, where the best you can hope for is to aid the big heroes from the comics and frankly a superhero game should be about YOU being the superhero.

"You are the hero our legends have foretold will save our tribe, therefore please go kill these 10 pigs."

I have money, so I will try both.

Enough said.
