You Need.....

Most of us want a decent space SIM with all the elements a good MMO containns... Limiting the game by type can only be bad.

I'm guessing that you think Eve is a good space sim mmo. The problem is Eve is not a good action mmo. It's more fun to mow the lawn then it is to play Eve. JGE is a good space sim action mmo and I would have it no other way. And no I'm not the only one drooling over JGE.

Yea! more unoriginal capture the flag, king of the hill gameplay. Can't wait.

I hope they work as well on some nice large zones where you can actually play the game like your in space with the chance of PvP, rather then feel like your stuck in a station playing a simulation and then the map just resets and you do it again. WoW that is awesome.

If jumpgate Ev isn't your cup of tea, take a look at Black Prophecy.. as that game on the surface, looks bigger and deeper than Jumpgate. Still more to be seen on that game though.

Also, if you're a knowledgeable gamer, you'll know how cheap, copied, and related all Net Devil/NCsoft games feel. I hope Jumpgate Ev doesn't feel/play/look like:

--CoX (shallow as they come, too simple, no depth, no long term playability, seems like 85% create a character, 15% terrible combat mechanics)

--Auto Assault(fail across the board)

--Champions Online (nothing makes this game stand out and it is as shallow as CoX.. more like a character creator and less of a game, gimmicky options that wont have any lasting appeal)

--Tabula Rasa (fail..sigh, i had hopes for this one too)

--Guild Wars (pretty, but on rails and too limited overall..not a true MMO in the sense of other big name MMO's)

i fear JGE may very well be the same sort of game, just wrapped in the space environment.

I hope JGE delivers.. but after the above listed games and who has had a hand in them and how they all relate.. I doubt it.

So here's the hoping Black Prophecy is a damn solid space-based MMO.

The only connection there is AutoAssault. NCSoft have absolutely nothing to do with NetDevil any more, nor Jumpgate Evolution; nor did they have anything to do with the original Jumpgate.

So you're going to try to tell us, that the games i listed above.. bear no resemblance to one another? Even while some are related, and some devs worked in both houses? You don't think the art style, feel, lack of polish, look, gameplay amongst the games i listed are similar to one another at all? In saying that, the games I listed above failed, are failing, will fail or only did mediocre..

(when i say fail like that, i am not saying that with a happy face nor do i mean nobody bought the game, they did.. but not nearly in numbers.  I wanted AA to be awesome, i wanted TR to be the next big thing..I wanted CoX to have some depth and replayability..but that never materialized...and those titles were very related across the board. )

and JGE doesnt seem far removed from those titles. holy hell, i want it to be though, i want a fun space-based MMO.. and not a job (looking at you Eve).

No. I'm trying to tell you that NCSoft have nothing to do with Jumpgate Evolution and had nothing to do with Jumpgate Classic (the progenitor of the Jumpgate "franchise", even though they're two very different games).

But I do agree with your sentiment in that I also want a fun, space-based MMORPG.
