Do you think it's a good time to return to wow or is the main time over and most have moved on ? |

WoW is definately still very alive and kicking, lots of people leveling alts these days as well with the introduction of heirloom items. I was out for about a year, just came back, having fun in Northrend! |

Why even ask on these forums, you know this site is a wow hating site, so u know all the trolls will jump in soon bashing it. My advice, the game is more alive than ever, and with 3.2 just hitting u will have a better experience as well. |

It just depends on what you are looking for in the game. Recently I returned and got my warlock to 80 and the grind was neither boring or exciting. After that I was having a blast until around a week ago because it becomes painfully obvious that dailys, queued pvp and dungeons are all you have unless there is access to a endgame raiding guild. I'll probably be hanging wow up again mostly because the game feels so repetitive and it seems like blizz totally took the need of a brain out of the game.. The community is still complete trash too... it rates up there with AoC's :( Everything feels so spoon fed since tier 8.5 is available from badges, gold is insanely easy to make and the only semi hard things to get are drakes and the hog mount. I'm not saying wow is a bad game or isn't worth playing, but it's just a bit easy for my liking and can't keep my attention longer than a few weeks. |

woot! A pointless troll response within 5m! NICE!
People are much friendlier there, you'll be hardpressed to find trollers and it's just a great site on top of that :D |

maybe not a good time, blizz is kinda going through a shit storm right now, people can't enter instances, they just pissed off fans by not allowing fansites to broadcast from blizzcon, which they have done in the years before. arena people are freaking out. And their customer service at this point is just plain crap. but if you don't mind all that welcome back? 8D "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

Wow is still a very active game. Is it a good time to return? That depends on what you are looking for to be honest. You give almost no inclination of what you are looking for in your request for information so it is hard to give you an answer.

Oh yeah, no open world pvp btw, forget that. You can do dungeons again and again and then do them on heroic mode, again. You can do endgame raiding. as long as you have lots of time and patience, and aren't looking for a larger scale feel that the game used to have. Well isn't that what any good mmorpg should have in ANY end game. Well, one could wish for a bit more. Like vast areas of territory that can be controlled by players to manage as they wish, coupled with a robust economic model, meaningful pvp and the chance to control an empire. Or you can play WOW with a whole lot of other folks. Options and changing every content with content patches. which bring you yet more of the same. Good.
OP needs to ask why he left in the first place. Much has changed about WOW since the early days and it might just be the perfect game now depending on what he is looking for. But much remains the same, (class/level based quest oriented game) and if those were the reasons for leaving, no reason to return really. Some folks really seem to like it, almost to the point of defending it like a keeper of the faith it seems.
