I tend to agree with the author for the most parts, but there are too many misguided notions about what a Sandbox MMORPG should be these days. |

Best article i have read on this site.. I have been wishing for another sandbox mmo for years. UO was my first mmorpg and i loved it. I wish they would update it or some developer grows a brain and improve upon this wonderful game. I have always wondered why no one has made a new one. Good read |

in a perfect world all those things could work. if only technology was better than it is now we could immerse ourselves completely and have all the great wants. unfortunately this isnt a perfect world. i am about to play eve and i just would like to know if there are any other mmorpgs that are good besides wow and gw or w/e. i am mainly a console player and i love the story driven games alot, but hate the lack of freedom with what i can do in the universe. is eve a good game for that? or is there any other games out there for me? I've played Eve off and on for almost four years now. Its a fun game made by a great company(CCP). BUT, Eve is pretty much what you make of it. From what I'm told, the PvP side is fun. But I've never left high security space, and just run missions and mine once in a while. There are many more missions now than a couple of years back, and they are adding more story line missions. |
